There's a huge ruckus going on here in the Fenway area of Boston. Apparently the Backstreet Boys are putting on a concert in the baseball stadium right now.
Sure you're not having a dream where you've been sent back in time about 10 years or so? :\

T-T I wish I could stay up late.. damn job.. though getting up at 5 isn't tooooo bad, it just kills my social life. Plus the pay is way better than anything else in this town.
I've been having to get up early lately as well... I wish I could nap during the day or something, but I've never had any luck with that sort of thing, so I've just been going to bed earlier than usual...

My last job required me to work 2 two days with 3.5ish hours of sleep, and then have a half day off. This schedule repeated 3 times a week.

Speaking of naps I just had a 16-or-so-minute nap and it was pretty amazing. I was listening to Explosions in the Sky's latest album Take Care, Take Care, Take Care and it was so relaxing and then I fell asleep and woke up with my eyes still closed and myself totally unaware of where I was. It was this magical moment of like purity where I wasn't living in the here and now and all my troubles and worries were gone.
I've got an hour before laundry is finished and I'm just here really exhausted listening to a Daft Punk album, everything of the world around me softened by my stupor of tiredness. The feeling is awesome and awful at the same time.
It's even better when you're running on little sleep, but you're sitting on the computer not really doing anything. Theeeen you stand up, and all of a sudden you're ready to fall into bed.
Next week is going to be awesome! First I'm going to DC for a few days and then to New York City for a few more days (and probably Independence Day, too)
I'll be in Philly, New York City, and DC in the same week.
My boyfriend is coming next week! I'm so excited. He's going to get to hear that awesome mix CD I put together and I'm going to take him to clothes shopping at places like American Apparel and H&M and I'm going to help him find wonderful plaid shirts since he likes plaid and I'm going to cook him amazing breakfasts that I cook every morning and then we're going to cuddle the rest of the time and maybe go to the beach on a nice hot day if it's super-nice. It's going to be so cute that The Pains of Being Pure at Heart self-titled vinyls everywhere will suddenly pop themselves into record players all over the world.
