Hey guys! Keitaro and I are hosting a party for Jul members to attend next month and it's seriously going to be really awesome. It's going to happen on Monday, July 18, 2011 at Keitaro's house in Marlborough, MA. Space is limited so sign up now!

We're going to have pizza. There's Wi-Fi, too, but you'll have to bring your own laptops and stuff if you want to use them. We have a Gamecube and a Wii that we need to set up but if you want to bring your own TV and game systems by all means do so!

We may or may not have alcohol, but we'll see.

We can only fit ten people so sign up quick, guys! Feel free to post cancellations or updates if you're not sure if you can make it and I can update the list so other people can show up.

We won't provide rides but if you guys want to set up carpools or something by all means you should do so! This would be something you'd have to work out on your own but feel free to announce them so more people can get an easy way to get here.

We also won't have space for people to stay overnight since Keitaro has to go back to California in the morning.

Feel free to bring whatever you think will make this more fun.

Anyway, it's going to be super fun! You should come. :J

Seems like Sofi covered just about everything I wanted to say we can hang out in the basement since I'm pretty sure no one will bother us, though we also have a patio/fire pit we could possibly get going and maybe roast some marshmallows or...something, I don't know. We do have wi-fi and my basement is finished, but you'll have to bring your own laptops if you wanna go online. My sister and I have DS's (and she has a 3DS) for those interested in gaming with those, too.

I'm also gonna ask that people chip in a little bit for pizza/drinks, I will provide them but a few dollars would be appreciated (and we can decide on the pizza when everyone gets there) ... only other thing is we can't run this TOO late, as Sofi mentioned I have a flight the next morning and also my parents have to go to work. But I'm pretty sure you all could come as early as you like so that won't really matter too much. I'm thinking no later than maybe 7 pm but we'll see, I know that's kinda lame but I'll post details of a time frame once we get closer to the date and I find out more information. I'm really excited for this! I think it's going to be a lot of fun.

I can't go; it's too out of the way for me. While I could easily go to Boston, Marlborough would probably cost me a lot more and take a lot of time. I don't have a car so I rely on public transit and from what I've read, it's a 9 hour trip. (though it should still be relatively cheap if I were to buy my tickets now - ~$20 bucks)

It's too much if I have to go back just hours after getting there. I would like to go to Boston sometime, though. Maybe when I can afford to stay at a hotel.

Oof. Even if I bothered to get my passport... that would be a challenge in terms of transit and getting back home that same night, to put it lightly.

Having said that, I'd at least like to support this in some way. I'll come up with an idea.

Well in your case Colin...perhaps we'd find a way to accommodate you better (although I don't know how, if I wasn't leaving I'd just tell you to crash at my place) but I wouldn't have expected you to be able to make such a trip either way also I know there's a lot of nice, affordable hotels in Marlborough for those who are interested. It's really only about 40 minutes out of Boston, FieryIce, and you'd be welcome to come nice and early to make the trip at least worth your time.

Colin doesn't seem like a creepy guy so I think I'd love to offer him a place for a night or two if he needs a place to stay if he decides to come visit. :J He can try my famous breakfast, too!

I don't know about the other people, though. I think I'd like to see how people are but I'm pretty sure I'd be cool with offering a place to stay if people are cool.

Also, FieryIce, if you go to Boston, you can probably carpool with me and Imajin or something. Or maybe Keitaro could pick us up. I'm not sure, but we can probably work something out!

when I'm back in LA

also no, I wouldn't be able to pick anyone up D: I won't have my own car out there and both my parents work. I'll be very much immobile for the day, sorry guys.

Also i should probably mention we have two cats. They're indoor cats, and for convenience purposes we'll probably be keeping them in their own space, but I thought I should mention this in case anyone is allergic.

Well, that certainly makes things easier, as it takes two hours to get to Marlborough from Boston by public transit.

It would still take me 6.5 hours to get to Boston, and I don't think I can come back overnight. (there is only one bus leaving the same day and it leaves at 11pm from Boston)

I can go to New York City a lot easier (2 hour trip), someone should make a party there.

I live in northern Virginia so this is about an eight hour drive for me, which means PROBABLY NOT.

If I could have someplace to stay both the night before and the night of, then it might be possible.

Or I could participate via Skype! Or gtalk!

If anyone ever does a thing in DC or Richmond or... really anywhere with a four hours or less drive from DC, I might be game for that.

for real. Honestly, when I'm back in LA, I would be more than happy to host a proper JUL party for anyone out on the west coast or nearby. It could span multiple days for all I care, I usually have the Friday-Monday block completely free with some rare exceptions. If anyone is seriously interested in THAT, feel free to PM me and we could seriously set something up for a different party (I don't want to hijack this thread is the thing)

Yeah, guys, so far a lot of posts have just consisted of people being like "oh, I'm from Zimbabwe! I can't go" plus discussions of a whatever meet-up which is cool but I totally just want to talk about the party we're throwing.

I guess what I'm saying is you should post in this topic only if there's any possibility of you going.

Also FieryIce, if you saw, Keitaro said the party would have to end earlier in the evening so we can probably make it back to Boston in time for the bus. If not maybe you could crash at my place for a night or something.

I can only fit one other person in my bed but I'm okay. It's all good.
