"A horrible person". That's what it says. "A horrible person."

We weren't even testing for that.

No, it's not a web browser poll this time around.

So yeah, I take it everyone of us has a mail account, even if we use it infrequently. And I've been wondering how everyone here gets their e-mails, i. e. whether you use a web interface, or a dedicated e-mail program for fetching everything.

Myself, I've always been using mail programs (since afaik, our ISP didn't have a web interface in 1999 yet), and now I've been using Opera Mail for the last few years, which is working perfectly fine and has the advantage of being cleverly integrated into my web browser. Oh, and I don't need to care about any kind of account limits.

I use Microsoft Outlook, of all things... basically because it came with Office and the original college e-mail accounts (they later switched to a Gmail-backed service) had a really small file limit.

It's convenient, because I have three accounts I use regularly and it allows me to just dump everything into a single inbox rather than having to check them separately.

I use Mail when I'm on the Mac and Gmail's web interface on the PC, although I might switch to Outlook '10.

Stuck with Hotmail's web based interface

But when I had acmlm@overclocked.org (2000-2006), I've used Netscape Messenger 4, Outlook Express (2000/XP) and Thunderbird ... I'd probably still use Thunderbird now, it was by far the best at filtering spam

Gmail web, barely use the email for anything anyways, so not like I need something more fancy.

Well, I've used a multitude of things. Mostly now I just read it with web interfaces. But I am notified through Trillian.

I did use Thunderbird for a while but it didn't sync up properly and so I gave up on it.

I use Gmail's Web interface.

I actually prefer Webmail over standalone clients. For one thing, I can access my E-mails from any computer

Pegasus Mail 4.

It's...kinda outdated and more complicated to set up than your average client, but it works and I'd rather not attempt to upgrade/replace it.

Gmail's web interface here... I don't particularly care for email clients myself

Gmail web interface, since I have a Gmail account.

We used to use Outlook Express back when I didn't have my own email.

I use Windows Live Mail for my PlusNet account and I also have my gmail forwarded to it. It helps because A) All of my e-mail in one place, like it used to be before YouTube went for gmail and B) My phone always tries to get gmail wherever I am. Forwarding it means the phone can't download anything and bump my contract costs.

Mail.app. Handles all my e-mail needs. Mobile version on my iPhone is less featureful but still functional.

I just use the gmail web interface. I tried thunderbird once, but gmail deleted messages when I downloaded them at that time, though they may have fixed that, but the web interface works well enough for me.

Thunderbird -> Mail on my G4 -> Mail on my iPod Touch.

And, of course, web interfaces. I've done Telnet before, though...

I just use the Gmail web interface. That and my phone (also for Gmail). Anything else was too much of a hassle to set up. I have a Telus account that is provided free with our internet, but I don't ever use it.

Gmail web UI on my PC, and the app on my phone. I like to read emails on my phone, but lately the app has stopped working for some reason. (It appears to work, but anything I do doesn't actually end up happening; deleted messages are still in the inbox, messages never get sent...)

Thunderbird has served me well when I needed another interface.
