Hey folks, I am looking to buy a new laptop, something that is capable of running modern games like CoD and Fallout Perfectly smooth at Medium Quality, hopefully from $500-850. And, having no knowledge on this at all, I am looking for suggestions. Thanks

| Oh no, I actually thought a desktop would be more expensive, I don't care what it is really. |

A desktop would be ideal. You can get an excellent entry-level gaming rig that would probably do more than what you're looking for ... for about $600, occasionally less. If you don't care about not getting any helpful support, those off-brands on newegg like Cyberpower or iBuyPower actually build some really solid machines (I have an iBuyPower box.)
For about $700 you can get something with a Radeon HD 68xx card, or a GeForce GTX 460 that could power through Fallout without a problem, completely maxed out.

| | Metal_Man88's Post | Laptops are more expensive and less likely to last than a Desktop. Yeah, for little money a desktop that can play whatever you want is possible.
