It'll be more fun than school. Go into it expecting to play a game. This isn't the second coming of Duke. It's barely a first coming. Duke is just sorta breathing heavy.

If the game sucks, I'll let you know. However, I'm not expecting this game to be like the second coming of Christ or anything. It's a Duke game. Duke games aren't really meant to have a whole hell of a lot of depth or anything. I'm expecting this to just be a raunchy romp through some levels and blow a whole lot of shit up.

Also, I don't take reviewers seriously anymore. They're probably just giving it scathing reviews because they didn't get paid under the table enough to give it a good review. Then again, that's an argument for another thread that I'm not going to derail the current topic at hand with.

I'll let you know what I think when I pick the game up next time I'm in Bangor.

Of course, the reviewers do have one thing right--it's sort of a strange in-betweener FPS shooting wise.

Probably coulda been better had it stuck to old school, since new-school has just turned Duke into a bizarre person who heals his 'ego' by cowering in fear from enemies.

Well, I finally caved and bought it and for me, those reviews are wrong. I love this game. The only problems I have with it are yes, the two weapon only feature, the blurry red screen and the fact that I can shoot a pig at point blank range and do no damage.

This game is nowhere near as bad as it is said to have been.
