I had one (1) message in Discord deleted and proceeded to make a huge, huge mess about how it was a violation of free speech and how moderators are supposed to be spam janitors and nobody should have the right to tell me not to talk about school shootings

Well.

Oh, apparently LulzSec hacked nintendo.com too, but didn't get any personal info or anything. All I know for sure they got was the server config file, though that implies they probably had full access to at least one server... (Just hope Nintendo isn't following in Sony's footsteps and denying anything was leaked when it actually was... )

Apparently LulzSec did it just for fun as he "liked the N64 too much to do any harm to Nintendo".

Or something like that.

That's stupid. Frankly, I think it's just an excuse for their failure at obtaining anything of worth.

Well, isn't it good that Nintendo's security is enough that they did fail? Now millions of people who use their site are saved from their privacy being violated. Sony users weren't as lucky.

Is it bad if I laugh every time Sony gets hacked, or is that common for someone who goes to /v/ during the summer to avoid the summerness of the other boards?

Nah, given their poor security, Sony had it coming. Had they hashed the passwords or used more modern SQL implementations this could have almost entirely been avoided.

Absolutely not.

Hell, you're not the only one.

Just read that LulzSec apparently got into the US Senate Web site, and also attacked the CIA's site and took it down, probably just a standard denial of service attack.

So ... who else thinks these guys are screwed now?

Well, that's pretty old. Just today, they managed to release 62k emails and passwords compromising websites like Amazon and PayPal, resulting in widespread fraud.

Yes, I do believe they are screwed. But it seems they will be taking many people with them as they go down.

Now Sega has been hacked, and Lulzsec denies involvement.

Sega has become the latest computer games giant to fall prey to hackers after warning users of its Sega Pass system that some of their personal information may have been stolen.

The company sent an email on Friday to say that email addresses, dates of birth and encrypted passwords had been accessed by hackers, but that no financial information was at risk.

The Sega Pass system was taken offline on Thursday and all users' passwords have been reset. Customers have been advised to be on the alert for suspicious emails asking for further personal information.

The hacking group Lulz Security appeared to deny involvement, despite leading a wave of recent cyber-attacks such as that on Sony. A tweet using the account @LulzSec said: "@Sega – contact us. We want to help you destroy the hackers that attacked you."

At least the passwords were encrypted and they seem to know how to handle the issue.

Seeing as LulzSec is now on the hitlist of multiple *chans, I'm here to tell anyone that if you find the Pastebin of the dox of LS' members, please send it to anyone from the Russian Mafia (due to Eve Online), then the FBI and CIA. These idiots say they're going to hack big businesses, and then they hit Minecraft. LulzSec really is an example of summerf*gs using botnets. >:/
