Machi-Machi v. Kyan!
Just put a 512MB DDR2 graphics card (RADEON X1550). Works nice. It records stuff on the desktop with SnagIt 8 at 60FPS no problem.

So what would be the problem?

The sound.

The higher the framerate, the crappier it sounds, it sounds like crap REGARDLESS of the setting and even before when I was using 64MB shared it didn't have this audio lag problem, so why now? I'm not exactly sure what the issue is but it is pissing me the hell off...

Anyone know how to fix such an issue?

EDIT: Might've figured out the problem. I think my on-board on my new mobo/comp is shit. This might fix it. Realtek seems to suck...I would wonder if this would alleviate it.

I know there's an issue with NVIDIA drivers where DirectSound would fail to function whatsoever with old motherboard chipset drivers. Download the latest drivers for your motherboard's chipset (not from the motherboard manufacturer's site) and it may help. A lot of computers these days use VIA chipsets.

does it sample audio fast enough? perhaps the bitrate isn't high enough either?

also, on-board sound is handled in software if I am not mistaken. So, perhaps, not enough CPU cycles to address sound

Updated the drivers - ineffective.

I'll like put down an order for that Audigy by tomorrow. I would have today but the job (or place I get parts at a discount) was out of power until noon and barely anyone showed up...

I'll let you know how it goes within a week or so.
