It may be possibly the easiest mod ever, but it was my first soldering job, and Castro (From IRC) has always done my other soldering jobs. So this marks my first attempt at soldering (And it was successful!)

It could have been really hard if I had did it the way I planned...I have a 30w soldering iron and I wanted to remove the leads from the red LED but I didn't want to lose a pad or anything, so I figured out that I could just solder the new LED to the old LEDs leads and it worked! I'm so happy It makes me want to go out and solder more things!

Drag's Post #347
If you really want to get fancy, you should try hooking up an RGB LED, and have it cycle through the colors.

But yeah, nice work! Soldering is really nerve-racking the first few times. At least, that's how it was (and still kinda is) with me.

I always wanted to mod my Gamecube power LED. Put in something like one blue, one yellow, and have it fade from one to the other. Use a thermostat to drive the timer so it moves faster as the CPU heats up. Woulda looked cool, but I didn't want to risk breaking the thing.

Maybe I should do that with my computer, it's a hell of a lot easier to mod.

I'mma gonna replace the blue Wiimote ones wth Red ones then.

I'm thinking DS, DS Light, GBA, GBASP, And the Wii's would be harder to change, if you went into them, due to multiple colors. Unless there are LEDs like that

There has to be, otherwise it would be a paradox or something. The original lights are bi-color LEDs, after all.

I'm pretty sure they're multiple LEDs of different colors. I can't think of a way for a single LED to emit different colors of light.

Then again, I don't have my GBA here with me to look at it.

That's awesome. I'd try something like that but I fear that I will break my NES and I still use it quite a bit

Skreeny: There are multi color LED's out there, ones that fade and ones that don't. So yeah, the ones in the GBA/SP are one LED.
