Don't want to leave London. Procrastinating packing. Using Jul as means to do so. Little to no activity here means that I have no choice except to begin putting things away in my suitcase now

I'm not going to be on much today at all, so I'm planning on coming on right now while I can. I'm planing on going to Florida in a few weeks.

That's awesome, Paralax! I haven't been to Florida since last Summer. My near-term plans include:

* Trip to Chantilly, Virginia this weekend
* Trip to Philadelphia around June 14
* Trip to Washington, DC around June 27
* Trip to New York City (from DC!) around the first few days of July

The dates are really just estimates, I have no tickets for anything yet. I might also beg my brother to take me to Florida but that's unlikely to happen. :/

I just got back from Philadelphia, actually.

It was pretty neat. The hipsters there are, like, a year behind in fashion, though.

Which probably means that they are about a year ahead of the rest of us.

Fashion. Heh, the one thing that I can never master. (and it's also the one thing that I would not care to master).
I could care less about fashion trends considering that no one I know follows them.

I just don't follow trends in general.

I wear dresses from the '80s, for gosh sakes.

Bluh bluh I was at the computer lab at school today and I tried to get onto here as usual but found it was still blocked, then ImMaybeMarc found out that we could run it through a Google Translate version to access the site. I was gonna go "Hey guys I'm posting at school!" but pressing 'Submit Reply' takes it out of the 'proxy' and my message was still blocked. (Also, after enough time the site blocked the school IP too for some reason, but meh.)

Amusingly, the person who watches the computer lab told me that I could do what I wanted while few people were there (as I closed a game when she got close) and even offered to let me go on the admin computer if I wanted access to sites.

Wow, nice monitor. That would never happen at my school. Have a game open and close it, four demerits. And trust me they are not fun working off. That's why the only games I play there are after school and only the ones that are on my computer itself.

I've never been at a school that gave out demerits, but I've heard about them and I've always been sort of curious. I know they're a punishment of some sort, but how do you get rid of them or fulfill them?

Pretty much same here, really... I also can't afford to spend money on clothes because they look nice. I'd rather buy new clothes when my old ones fail to accomplish their purpose further. I have the same philosophy for shoes.

My school had those. They're just sort of marks against you that hang around. I don't remember if they get cleared at any point, as they might just last the whole year. You can't do anything about them, but if you accumulate enough, you got a detention.

Jesus christ, 4?

I swear, I must have had some of the most lenient staff at my high school then. As long as I got my work done, I was pretty much allowed to do anything I cared to. I could literally fire up a full-screen ZQuest instance, too, and nobody would really turn heads. Hell, one of the substitutes I had even thought it looked interesting, when I was playtesting what I had in class at the end of 11th grade.

...Man, I really miss working on things like that. I have to get it back together and get through this one level that's been kicking my ass to build.

The people in my high school library were pretty lenient too- until some people pushed their luck and started doing stuff like playing NBA Jam in Gens with full sound and such. Even that lasted I think a few weeks before they cracked down, but after that they started being a lot stricter during school hours... (you could still get away with pretty much anything after school, though)

My school was pretty strict. You could play games in computer classes (but not the library), but only the games that came with Windows (FreeCell, Hearts, etc.). The library computers were a lot stricter than the class computers.

At least we could download files onto floppy disks at my high school. Before I got the net at home, it was the first chance I had to play classics like Nethack.

Me and Shadic used to play a game called Liero from floppy discs in Middle School. We also played a game, which I can't remember it's name, that a lot of us played just to piss off our Computer teacher. We even made an account called Clark Kent on the schools server so we didn't have to keep downloading, playing then deleting.

There's a huge ruckus going on here in the Fenway area of Boston. Apparently the Backstreet Boys are putting on a concert in the baseball stadium right now.
