I just ate some hot wings. I might have put a little too much tobasco sauce on them, but they still tasted ok.

I went out for dinner today and had chicken enchiladas in some sort of green sauce (poblano, IIRC)... delicious, but there was in the end too much food and now I'm feeling really overstuffed...

I'm eating a very tasty bowl of icecream. Earlier for dinner I ate a slice of pizza with a sandwich.
Great evening foodwise for this Saturday night!

Well since Friday I've had:

Friday--
Lunch: Clam chowder - not much to say besides that it was amazing!
Dinner: dim sum - we had dumplings, noodles and pancakes. I forgot the names for all of these but this was the best dim sum I've ever had.

Saturday--
Breakfast: Apple dumpling with apple cider - at the Reading Terminal Market in Philly
Lunch: A meatloaf hoagie - nothing special
Dinner: Leftover hoagie

And right now I just had oatmeal with my boyfriend and we're preparing to leave to town.

For dinner I ate a sandwich with many toppings. I drank some orange juice with that. It was an okay dinner, for it was quite a tasty meal.

I had a hot dog (boiled rather than grilled) in a bun with cheese (no other condiments). Quite tasty...

Today I had yang zhou chao fan, Hong Kong-style stir-fried noodles, and salt baked squid and shrimp.

To drink, I had apple cider.

One of the reasons lately I haven't been posting as many pictures or posting in this topic period is because I've been very busy going out. Meeting other people is awesome but eating is pretty social so I spend a lot more of my time eating out. So if I ever get to cook for myself, it's breakfast.

Breakfast was brown rice, one sunny side up egg and two pork sausage links. The egg was fried in safflower oil instead of sunflower. Safflower oil is very similar to sunflower oil but it has a higher smoke point so you can heat it more before it burns. There doesn't seem to be any discernible difference in flavor between the two and honestly I still think sunflower oil is cooler just because it's, you know, from sunflowers. (The smoke point of sunflower oil is already very high.)

vs

To fry the sausages, I've noticed that it cooks a ton better over a large pan instead of a smaller one. The eggs are fried in the large pan as well afterwards which means you have to wash fewer pans this way. This is a good thing.

This meal was set to the indie psychedelic surf pop band Real Estate's eponymous first LP.

Surprisingly tasty and only 40 calories.

Ok, Sofi, that is the weirdest thing- I was seriously just the other day happened to see safflower oil in the supermarket and wondered what that was and whether it was similar to sunflower oil.

I'm making white rice and steamed hot dogs, to eat with beans and fried eggs. But that will be my lunch / dinner, not breakfast.

I'm eating a subway sandwich which is quite normal for a lunch. It was really tasty though, so no complaints. Drank plain water with it.
