What's the point in having a Snorlax that paralyzed, though? It's not like he'll exactly outspeed anything even with the opposing Pokémon paralyzed. :T

Well it does give him an advantage since the opponent may randomly not attack. But it would be really chance-based, so I have no idea how this would work out.

Actually, paralysis cuts down speed by 75%. Even a Snorlax whose nature hinders speed and with 0 speed EVs and IVs would still have 86 speed at level 100. That means that the opposing Pokemon must have at least 344 speed to outspeed a Snorlax after paralysis. Pokemon like Zapdos and Salamence still have less than 344 max speed.

So yeah, paralysis is bad.

Wow, my username has started quite a conversation (also one that I have no clue what any of you are saying ). Hopefully whatever Pokemon my username is supposed to be is good, or otherwise let's dump the Pokemon part and keep the scientific part instead

I have NEVER played a Pokemon game before. Well okay lie I played Blue on an emulator, but I grew bored with it. But Black I'm really getting into and want to beat and stuff.

Psh, whatever, guys. The competitive scene ended for me back before there was even a Platinum.

Anyway, I've been out all day today because it's so fucking nice out right now. I went for a nice long walk around the city and stopped by the local record/comic store and leafed through some books there. I got to do some errands I've been putting off. Copley square in Boston right now is filled with farmer's markets and even though the markets are overpriced it's still very nice to see everyone.

I only spent money for some minor make-up related stuff and giving change to random panhandlers on the street. I have store credit in Urban Outfitters, Forever21 and 344 that I need to spend but I haven't gotten around to doing so. Maybe that'll wait for when things are a little less crowded, such as when all the Christians are gone thanks to the rapture (people by the Boston library were handing out pamphlets about it!)

Just aced my second final (Which is an achievement considering that this was my second hardest on that I'll be taking this year). Now next final is Monday, which means I get the rest of today to just relax and I'll start studying again on Saturday.

I plan to go out and play some basketball with a few of my friends. Sports are a nice way of relaxing the brain and getting real sleep. It's so great to have this many hours of free-time.

After going out and walking around so much today I'm thinking of staying inside and keeping Saturday to myself. I'll sit at home and read. I'll listen to music. I'll play video games. And then I'll probably get bored of being cooped up all day and go outside and go to the park and meet a balloon man and buy balloons and then let them go and watch them disappear into the clouds.

Nice. I'm not so lucky with my free time today... Tomorrow I'll be too busy for anything, so I'll be studying all today for Monday's exam (and probably look over material for the future exams). It's alright though, considering I take a short break every few hours to check out Jul.
