I had such a great day yesterday! I made a new friend and I got to hang out together with her and an old friend for a bit and I also went shopping and now I have something to match my lighter jeans. I put together this outfit with a hoodie and a striped shirt that just so happens to make me look like Ellen Page's character in Jason Reitman's 2007 film Juno but sans pregnancy.

Today has been horrible so far. I can't believe I had a college day on my own Birthday! I find it annoying that I can't go out and celebrate as when I get back it would be about 6 or 7pm. I can't also have a late night party as I got college tomorrow 
Hopefully I can have a proper party Saturday or something. ____________________

Just got home from hanging out with a friend. We were watching one of Terrence Malick's older movies in theaters. His new film Tree of Life is coming out next week and we're both super-excited, Sean Penn being the lead notwithstanding.
The movie we watched was Days of Heaven and it was great. Malick's style is fascinating because everything flows in a very natural way and everything feels simultaneously purposeless and purposeful. It makes it feel very life-like but still kind of weird to the viewer because it is basically not what we've come to expect from film at all.
