Today has been a long and interesting day!

For breakfast: Apple streusel
For lunch: New England Clam Chowder (oh my, amazing it was! )
For dinner: Mac and cheese with bits of bacon and a whole can of tuna

Now I'm contemplating having either another slice of that apple streusel or eat some hazelnut spread right off the jar.

MASHED FUCKING POTATOES.

Granted, they're just instant mashed potatoes, but still. Delicious.

Aux, you should totally try making your own mashed potatoes sometime if you haven't already. It's very simple and fun. :J

I made an egg sandwich this morning out of scrambled egg and bacon as the filling but the bread muted the flavor of the egg so much that I just ate the bread first and then ate the inside after. It tasted a lot better that way.

I'm going to eat a slice of apple streusel, must finish up that loaf soon!

I'm still thinking of what to make for dinner today.

Grilled chicken salad.

It was good, but it was missing cheese. Good chicken, good greens, good ranch dressing... no cheese. :\

Chinese takeaway ordered; on its way.

Hong Kong pork dumplings, pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style.

My favourite :-)

Ooh, I love pork dumplings! But I prefer chicken fried rice.

I haven't had Chinese in a while ... I might go buy some one of these days. Today I had for lunch some leftover rice and beans with two fried eggs. I might just heat up a can of Chef Boyardee for dinner. I don't feel like making rice for one meal.

No comments on my last dish (the picture) ? I thought it was super delicious

Though, Sofi already did that and hers probably looked better (but she didn't use beans)

FieryIce, I really like your picture! Sorry I didn't respond—I was going to but then I had to go somewhere for the entire day. You should try pushing the white edges in towards the yolk when the egg is first on the pan sit makes the texture of the white awesomer. I love the way your yolks came out though.

I know I haven't posted a picture in a while, guys, and really it's because I told myself I'd keep the pictures to when I post new foods (and I've totally not been good at keeping that self-promise, either) but after meditating on the issue for a bit this morning I decided a food topic should have as many delicious pictures of delicious foods as deliciously possible.

So this morning you're going to get a picture of scrambled eggs, hash browns and sausages. I used crème fraîche from a local farmer's market instead of sour cream for the eggs. I overcooked the eggs so I couldn't really get a good taste of them to decide if they were any different. The potato was Yukon Gold and seasoned in white instead of black pepper, which was probably not worth it since the potato comes out dark anyway, and the pork sausages were from Jones Dairy Farm again, only this time it's a pork and rice sausage instead of a pork sausage, which means they stuffed the sausage with rice too. This reduces the fat content and stuff but at the cost of taste and texture. I'll probably just buy the normal ones in the future.

Speaking of white pepper, I totally dig how it doesn't add black flakes to everything and I'll totally be using them in the future for primarily white dishes like fried eggs or mashed potatoes. Pretty cool stuff, guys.

Overall it was pretty okay.

Oh, that looks like a nice breakfast combination, though, in my opinion it lacks something sweet (like a pancake full of maple syrup )

I'm only having sweet today, the last piece of the apple streusel from which I've been eating for a while. Then I'm off to the supermarket to buy essentials like milk, eggs, and bread.

Channa masala and naan.

For those who don't know, channa masala is an Indian dish made from chickpeas and various spices (among other tasty things). It is delicious. Naan is a form of Indian flatbread. It is also delicious.

I generally don't like Indian food, I think it's too spicy for me.

Today I had white rice, beans, and beef stew full of potatoes and vegetables (more vegetables than beef )

I miss Easter Chocolate! I miss eating chocolate, actually ... it's been almost a week!

For dinner I had the same I had for lunch but there was so much stew left it felt like a soup... Tomorrow I'm probably going for eggs again ... maybe.

I had rice, fried eggs (with soy sauce) and sausages again. I was trying to use up the leftover oil from making potato chips yesterday so the egg was extra oily. Aside from that it wasn't bad at all. The sausages came out a lot better this time since I let it brown a bit on the pan. This time it's virtually indistinguishable from the all-pork ones, which is really cool, but the extra prep time is a bit of a hassle. I'll see what I can do~

The totally important thing though is I got my rice which I've been craving for the past few days. Rice, I missed you.
