I've suspected that Osama has been dead for years. All the videos they've released over the years, as far as I can remember, have just been the same vague threats, not really ever referencing recent events. My guess is that he died in the initial attacks, and the videos have just been released periodically to scare the US into believing he was still alive... but it's all just personal theory. Probably isn't true.

I agree with this. This is just the tip of the iceberg and America is firing up patriot mode, when nobody really cared when Saddam Hussein was hanged even though he was a far more dangerous individual. The blind patriotism is quite sad, really. This is far from over.

Sadly, this will change little. Yes, it is awesome that he died, and he did not die soon enough, and I guarantee his death was too short. But Al Qaeda will exist on after him, as will the Taliban. We might have killed a massive asshole, but it may be to early to celebrate.
