Well of course not. All of these mockups and speculations are just unimaginative mashups of the other existing consoles. It all boils down to "Nintendo is making PS3+Xbox+iPhone+1080pHD!!!" and that is definitely not how Nintendo does things.

I've also heard it will still use Wiimotes as well. All rumors, of course, but still.

As long as it accepts Gamecube controllers, it'll be fine.

...Now that I think of it, it'll HAVE to, if it wants to allow Wii games to use them anyway.

This is gonna be one weird console, but then again, it's not like it'll need a special port to support multiple kinds of wireless controllers...

Yeah, they'll probably just use bluetooth again...

I wouldn't be too surprised to see them drop the Gamecube controller ports, though, considering Nintendo's history in that sort of thing... (notice the fate of the GBA cartridge slot, even though there were DS games that used it)

Perhaps, though the GCN ports were also the heart of the backwards compatibility with Gamecube games. So they'd be slicing a pretty large piece of compatibility out of it by removing them--since then of course, wouldn't they remove the memory cards next?
