I've left my copy of Audiosurf (the only Potato game I have) running, hopefully steam won't know the difference between "playing" and "idling at the title screen."

Earning potatoes from doing specific things in those games act as a multiplier. If you leave a game running and have no potatoes, shame on you. Shame on fucking you.

Join this group for a free potato. Next, BIT.TRIP BEAT is an easy potato. Just complete <TEST>. The Wonderful End of the World is easy too, as you hold P while selecting the Sugar Land level and beat the level by picking up the cake.

The rest can be quite difficult. Defense Grid has 6 potatoes to earn. Good look with that one.

you can get a second potato from that level by
completing it while in the black and white losing mode

really all you need to do is last until the end
and then miss all of them in the very last burst of blueish ones

I got five off of Defense Grid. The mutation ones took me 10 minutes, and tonylanche is fairly easy as well.
*The Doctor wishes he had more than just SMB, Audiosurf, and Defense Grid.

Audiosurf is the only game I have from that bundle, and I can't afford any others - so yeah, "shame on fucking me." At least I'm trying to help as best I can .

The Wonderful End of the World completed. We will be getting the game early, but how early I do not know. So far looks like it is just Monday, but it may change once 1 2 3 Kick It gets full. That is apparently what people are working on now.

Colin, we have to play together.

I just got my copy in today and I've been playing the single player mode.

Awesome so far!

So, here's the news, if anybody missed it:

Portal 2 is now out, and it is amazing.

Those who collected all 36 potatoes were awarded a free Valve Complete Pack, which includes every Valve game except Portal Two and otherwise costs $100 ($180 individually), but the extra games are not giftable as of right now.
Those who collected all 36 potatoes and had not already pre-ordered Portal 2 were apparently given a free copy of Portal 2 instead.

Being one of those who had collected all 36 potatoes and pre-ordered Portal 2, I'm a little disappointed that I lost the opportunity to get it for free and instead got a handful of games I'm not particularly interested in, since I had already bought the best games that came with the Valve Complete Pack.

Despite that, though, Portal 2 is well worth the money I payed for it, and I had a blast participating in the ARG, even if some of those potatoes were a pain to get. I also appreciate being introduced to the (mostly) great games of the Potato Sack, as I would have probably never played them if this event didn't take place.

All things considered, this was a spectacular way to release an even more spectacular game, so any and all complaints I have are practically negligible.

Same story here. The game expanded upon what was great about Portal, and the end result felt like a much more complete game than its prequel. Now, it's time for co-op.

Also, those who got the Golden Potato now have giftable copies of every Valve game (if you previously owned them), including Portal 2.

heh, I'm not really interested in this game, but half of my Steam buddylist is!

To all those who bought it, I hope you enjoy it!
