I beat zelda 1!

This may not sound like a big deal for most of people, but this is the first time I beat the game.

I kinda grew up on the SNES and not the NES, so when I got the chance to try out zelda 1 on the colectors edition for the GC, I was not very impress and I thought it was rather hard. Regardless, I tried it several times and got as far as to level 6 in my best try.

Now, that was quite some time ago and I have been playing a few quests for ZC, so I am a bit better at this. So yeasterday I decided to try and beat the original, and it took a few deaths and a few hours, but now I'm done with it!

I missed the magic key somehow as well as the map and most of the rooms I think, but I got the book and the boss so I did not bother with the rest. I could also only afford one of the bomb upgrades, so I had to make do with what I had.


Now it's time for a new quest, the second quest! :E

Level 7 is usually considered to be much easier than Level 6.

Now, you can try the 2nd quest and really get your ass whooped I can provide hints if you need them.

I don't really have a problem with only being able to move four ways, but I just think the game is rather unbalanced and such. The boss battles are very easy, mostly, and the dungeons are super hard death traps.

Anyhow, I beaten 1-4 of the second quest temples so far, but I went a bit heavy sadface when I saw the wizzrobe count in level 5 and 6.

Wizzrobes are dicks.

That being said, last time I seriously sat down and played it, I did super well up until I got to level 9 and then SLAUGHTERED!. Oh God, it was like Zangief fighting a crippled kid. It was awful. XD

Thus saying, kudos to you and congratulations on beating the game! Now beat the second quest! Kangeki! Let's go next zone.

Try taking down 3 4-headed gleeoks with just the white sword and 5 hearts with no blue ring (something like that).

Sure, Zelda Outlands is cool, but the difficulty is a bit over the top.

Did you know that red wizzrobes will take away 4 hearts at a time if you have no ring?

Though...hmm, you know what would be fun? A hack to play as a Wizzrobe! Maybe a blue one though. You could use the "A" button to attack and the "B" button to walk through stuff.

But then you'd have to like...be able to hack it to kill Ganon too without the Silver Arrow, and with Wizzrobe magic...

Replace the wand with the sword, change the amount of time it takes to attack to zero...make Ganon not invincible to everything that isn't wooden/white/magic.swd... other things ad hoc.

There's a reason nobody likes the fireball shooters. Many many projectiles. Three Gleeoks? Three fireballs. Three one-heads could possibly be more difficult then a four-head, though I haven't checked that out...
