Good luck with that- I've always found that one of the harder ways to play the classic Donkey Kong. (Maybe something about the N64 controller? Dunno)

I think the jumping physics are a little different. Maybe.

Make everyone a mage before going in there. It'll make things so much easier, and you're not losing much in the long run.

I recently started playing Phantasy Star: Generation 2... entirely in Japanese, but I know Phantasy Star II in its Genesis form pretty well, so hopefully my limited Japanese ability will be enough to navigate menus and what-not...

I have to say, I like how Paseo looks in this game. (Some minor image problems, but I'm just surprised my computer can run this game at all ) Though 2d RPGs with better than 16-bit graphics are still kind of weird to me...

Did I not mention it in here yet? Ok.
I have been playing Metroid Prime Trilogy for the past (what was it) month, going in game order and trying to clear the hardest difficulty now so I don't have to later. I've already done MP1 Vet and Hyper (with 100% items and 1 scan missing) and am currently on MP2 Vet. I have been having a fun time overall, albeit with road blocks every so often (see: OP Omega Pirate on Hypermode), the only thing I'm not looking forward to is MP3's boss battles. Hearing -things- about those.

Also nephew took the elevator to Magmoor before he was supposed to and declared himself stuck-- somehow he kept fudging up the climb back (12 years old and not able to tell that he's standing on the very back of the platform, or something)

If it's like the vanilla M&B demo, you have a time limit of 30 in-game days and can't use custom modules.

The first Disgaea game again.

I'm trying to royally buff my female cleric up (who already has all the abilities that the Prism Mage has at Lv. 40) in spells. I made a Star Mage named "Tool" and now I'm using him so my cleric can learn all the Star spells.

And most of my guys are up to level 50, so hopefully I can start finishing the game soon!

...oooohhhhh that could put a damper on things...

I also discovered that it is really easy to solo enemy groups in the beginning with just a horse and a crossbow. Killed 12 looters all by myself.

Looters? Yeah.

Not so much when you're dealing with groups that have cavalry (Mountain Bandits I think; haven't played Native in a while), archers (Forest Bandits) or horse archers (goddamn steppe bandits).

You won't lose any progress at the end of the demo, though, the game saves for you at that point.

I also have no plan on ever buying the game, so...

BTW, what is the differance between Mound and Blade and Warband? Just different units?

Functionally, the only reason to have both now is that many modules weren't updated for Warband. Warband runs far better, looks better, has multiplayer, fixed the rather severe shield bug and the Native module also includes one more faction and a redesigned map compared to the original.

As for whether or not to buy it, up to you, but you really can't accomplish shit in thirty days. Killing some thieves and deserters is about the limit on it; you own't have time to raise a decent army, capture cities or castles... and that's not even getting into leading a rebellion.

I actually found it easy once I could practice it.

Then again I find a lot of video game challenges easy once I've worked on them enough. I have that knack. Like in the first temple of DKC Returns? My brother-in-law couldn't get through it. Within an hour I had beaten it (once he had given up and decided to suicide his DK at the beginning of the level), and in less than ten minutes could get through it multiple times in a row. Hell, I even figured out how to beat the 4th and final Canary Mary race by being creative/sneaky with button mashing.

But NEVER Beaver Bother. I can only beat the harder levels through sheer luck. Then again everyone has trouble with that bonus level.

Slightly off topic, but I remember a canary mary button mashing race in Banjo-Tooie. Now I need to know which game had her first. (me and my darned curiousity.)

Going through Unreal 1. I've never finished it, so it's partially a new experience for me.
