I dunno, I "accidentally" missed the first 10 weeks of it.

Then got caught up in 2 lessons, skipped 2 lessons, got caught up in half a lesson and we have a real test coming up that is quite literally "Manipulate this image, change the font type, go to Excel, do some basic =SUM on a spreadsheet, then e-mail that fucker like a boss."

Seriously. The only reason I bother to turn up is that I get concern notes if I don't and "I don't want to go, because it's basic, easy and boring" just isn't a viable excuse to my tutor...

I had 55-minute class periods in high school for normal classes. The advanced/vocational classes at the other school were way longer, though.

Basically, my school was small, poor, and rural, so they offered very few classes. There was a countywide school that offered additional classes, and you'd go there half the day if you were in one of those.

So basically it's a 10-minute exam. 15 at max if your PC's slow for some reason.

30 minutes. College PC's are slow as fuck. One time, we had to fill in a student survey and I had to wait 30 minutes just for my account to bloody log in ¬_¬

Even the teacher knows how useless Functional ICT is. He caught me on IRC complaining about how we are "graded on this shit." He read that, then just started talking to me about philosophy Happily, for me, the test has been pushed back because I have a three-day EMPA exam in Biology.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, the Functional ICT exam is 2 hours long. And I don't think you're allowed to leave until the time is up.

I actually was hired to tutor our version of ICT--CIS--when the instructor noticed I had become so bored that I had not only done all my homework, but then began teaching other people how to do it (teaching, not doing it for them, mind you) out of boredom.

Our equivalent was called BST... Business Systems and Technology. The difference being that we learned new Excel tricks and actually worked on databases in Access.

Is it just me, or has Google become progressively worse and worse over time? I mean, every time I try to search for something I seem to get an unhelpful correction, or Google Instant loads some results and then decides to search for something else, or whatever... it definitely seems to have become excessive on the "helpful" gimmicks.

Agreed.

I also don't like when I search for something, say "kitties" and, instead of the old "Did you mean kittens" link (which was helpful, IMO), Google just assumes that I meant "kittens" and searches for that instead. No, I wanted to search for kitties! A kitty and a kitten aren't the same thing!
