It's funny. I grew up with parents that had didn't really care about swearing, and I started cursing all the time starting from when I was 12. I actually kinda started to gradually stop starting from when I was 17 on to the point where I don't curse unless I'm really, really angry. It sounds tacky coming from my mouth.

There's some words I won't say though, and never have (well, against another person, anyway)--mainly certain racial/gender-based slurs.

My Mom and Dad and sister all curse flagrantly and continuously. I on the other hand do not curse at all, instead opting to hurl a cloud of expo-speak and euphemisms at people.

So watch out if I say something is a "piece of garbage" "trash" "useless" "idiotic" "worthless" "vile" or similar: odds are if I'm also acting angry, it's about the same as when someone starts cursing up a storm.

That said, most of my meaning is conveyed through my face. Specifically I have a sort of 'Death Stare' which I use to silence people, or stare people down who tick me off.

Mom never swears but my siblings constantly do (much more so than I do).

Nowadays I rarely talk anyway, I'm living by myself (thanks to incredibly cheap rent I was so lucky to find) and I still haven't made any friends to hang out with despite having been here for almost a year now.

Yes, I can easily go one day without talking (literally, ie not including IM) to anyone (that's happened several times already, I bet)

I mentioned all that because I'm only likely to swear when actually talking and not through IM.

I seem to carry my dad's temperament a lot more than my mother's. So usually I'm not going to be bothered by small inconveniences if I'm in an okay mood. But when I'm in a bad mood (or get into a bad mood), you'd better be careful not to mess with me (and since I'm very much friendless IRL and never really bothered, I haven't boiled over on anyone yet). Though you can visibly see when I'm upset. Fist clenching, muttering, tense body, and the general air of 'DON'T FUCK WITH ME ASSHOLES'.

So I guess I can say that I am a Tavros and I like to be friendly, calm, and even a bit of a doormat. But the Karkat in me won't be afraid of yelling at assholes, people or otherwise, once inhibition is down just enough.
