SM64 Star Road - Bob-omb Battle Factory (Major Hack P7)

This preview of SM64 Star Road I'll be showing you the second of the 4 levels I completed after Melting Snow Peaks. Since MSP my level design skills have increased very much, and the 3 other levels are equally good as this otherwise better.
There are now 10 of 15 levels complete in the Star Road master rom, and after the next 5 I'll be working on the side levels followed by the main hub.

Also, I apologize for the video quality. I am trying to upgrade my PC so you don't have to put up with it any more.

Love the job you did on this, Celux The textures all fit together really nicely, and the level's scope is nothing short of fantastic

Anyway, that level has some terrain added to it. RDX Suggested me to post this up here so here it is.
Here are some screen shots of the progress in my SM64 hack, SM64 and the Other Dimensions:

*Images*

I'm still in the progress of many other levels, but 2 levels that are 100% completed are Treetop Tower and Gusty Gulch Valley. I am also working on a lot of music hacks, and I've finished quite a few, including Gourmet Race, Paper Mario Mini-boss, Gobi's Valley, BattleRock Galaxy, Purple Comet (From SMG) and a few others. A few other hacks are being made, maybe even ASM hacks, once I learn how. My next level may include raising lava if I learn how to properly make an ASM hack. Enjoy!

***** ---> Oh and one more thing: The moon in the picture is like from SMW, I gave it a custom behavior for a 3-up, and the logs I was standing on raise and lower.

what did you use to change the Title screen? (I mean the word andtheotherdimension)

jaller, did you seriously just quote a post with 18 videos and pictures? For future reference, when quoting a post that big, remove the content that is not necessary and remove irrelevant photos and videos and replace them with something like the above.

St- Vincent's Church:

Yeah, this is a level I had on my hard drive for quite a while. It's a mini village based around a Church. I am still currently working on some parts of this level (the snow cave for example is going to be changed into a obstacle course) but I'm interested to hear some feedback on this

...Christian Mario? Well, ok, that's cool I guess. Makes WWE Mario look less odd in comparison.

My only complaint is the usual texturing issues. Also not a huge fan of the the way you built the stairs, they look really bulky. I guess that's pretty subjective, but the textures are still mapped badly. You should spend more time trying to figure those issues out.

I like it, my only complaint is that it is snowing indoors!

(but I already know that can't be changed)

Starlight Dreams - Preview 1

Well, here's the first video I'm submitting here for my in progress hack. There's still a bit of work to be done on this map, but I'm quite proud of what I've got so far, and so decided to show it off :3

Personal Opinion: You shouldn't be able to get 5 red coins by going behind 5 houses in one area.

However, I loved the doughnut shaped island gimmick.

Jaller, its very simple yet no one explains it. Just search on google "Download Java Tile Molester" You'll have to get used to the program, but this was the program that made the very first SM64 texture hacks.

Regarding the above post.

This might be found useful. It points out where textures are that can't be edited in Toad's Tool. I thank Messiaen for his link in the "name the textures" thread. Once you get past the bad translation it's rather helpful.

Actually Joe posted a really useful image importing/exporting tool a few pages back.
It was a while since I was here last, so when I mentioned "TM," it became clear that it's not really the "liked" program anymore.
That other command line program Joe posted does do a waay better job, so you should probably use that instead.
Beside, "TM" may do some damage to your ROM in some cases.

I have to agree with CB about the red coins. Otherwise, however, it's fantastidonkulous. The level design and music are well-integrated and the textures worked really well. Good job.

I thought I'd stimulate the board a little bit with a level created by lesser known hacker Misubushi. He's gotten pretty good, he's one of the best out there currently.

Hi everybody It been a while since I posted about my game Maestro Mario 64. Here a quick look of the 2nd overworld area. There are four gateway level in this area. The different colors show what level type it is. (Red = Fire Level, Blue = Water Level, Purple = Take a guess)

Also the clear gateway in the 4th pic will take you to the 3rd overworld area which I still working on.

Wow, the fog+sky are gorgeous. That's all I have to say. Personally I'm not a fan of the shadows, it took me awhile to realize that's what they were. I don't think your level needs them, but that's just me. (For example, in picture 4 the shadows on the road going up to the arch look messy, but the ones going down the side of the hill actually look really nice.)

I'm getting a Spyro vibe from your work. It's cool how everyone has different influences.
