Ecologists now divide the year into six seasons including pre-spring and late summer in addition to the other four.

If I factor this in, I think my favorite season would have to be late summer.

Spring. It is the prettiest season.

Autumn is pretty too in some places, although not so much here because the leaves go straight from green to brown and it lasts about a week.
Winter is nice sometimes but I'm about sick of it after this past winter. It felt like it never ended, I swear.
There really are no upsides to summer. It is the worst season. It's all humid and sticky and hot and disgusting. Hate it.

That's interesting.. but where I come from we just have wet and dry, but thanks to climate change, wet is eating dry alive.

I'm going to the National Cherry Blossom Festival in D.C. next week, let's see how that goes

Where are you located?

I guess summer is enjoyed more by people who live closer to the ocean. It's absolutely beautiful there and it's just great for you to lie down on a towel and watch the clouds drift by and listen to music or read a book.

Selective cold days (this is where it's 80 one day and 50 the next. I mean, WTF)

Floridians also live in a place where 50 is considered cold.

In Michigan, it's only above 50 for about half of the year.

We consider 50 degrees cold here. 60, even. California, of course.

But I can deal with down towards the mid-10s if I have to.
