Needless to say I did nothing and failed the class. High school is fucking stupid; just go get your damn GED and go to college already.

(I'm being honest. Chances are you can score very well on the GED... it's just up to you if you want to give it a shot. Hell, try taking the GED at the same time, hehe)

I'm already shooting for a GED and scored well on a practice test before my "classes" started. I'll be taking one more test before the real test in November.

Public schools suck ass.

Yeah, highschool is dumb, but if you're like me, you should aim for a 2-year program. Get that diploma anyway--it isn't hard at all (I overkilled the CAHSEE to get it and had several Presidential awards to boot) and'll look good on a resume.

Then proceed to do the other 2 years in College, possibly Community College.

If I did depra I could just steal BMF's picture of him and I'd be done

I agree that high school is very dumb and half the stuff we do is utterly pointless. I could just completely forget about the assignment although I want to get at least a low mark because a 0 would probably kill my already pathetic mark (You can probably imagine what other assignments were like).

You go to a high school founded on the basis of religion. I hope you weren't expecting much usefulness or objective practicality. It's bad enough in a "secular" school.

I knew that many things were going to be religious although the only thing that is really religious is the Religion Course. It wasn't anywhere close to this bad last year (I had a much better teacher).

It's a layout... that I worked hard on. ^_^

Am I the only person who tolerates/ has fun going to high school?

It is true for most classes though (history, english especially, not so much sciences), all you do is busy work. Computer science and math are the only two courses where you can continue to build your knowledge with new and advanced material year after year...

Actually, I could tolerate high school. Sure, a bunch of the people were dumb, but... Well... I came into college with 30 credit hours. There had to be something going right somewhere along the line.

High school was murder. At least where I went, it was. I don't understand why teachers give us nonsensical things to do like that. Once I had to do an acrostic poem about Robin Hood. Then there are the mandatory team-building things that rely on physical strength and dexterity, which I don't have...

So I handed it in today (and probably only about half of the class did). He was disappointed and we got a lecture about how he doesn't take crappy excuses and how some people asking him for an extension the day it's due is an insult to him and blah blah blah. You would think that because some people didn't finish their work he was going to get fired

Machi-Machi v. Kyan!
Honestly, that would be one thing I'd be talking to the uppers about in the administration.

Did he even give a good reason as to this assignment aside from the possibility of him having a sick fantasy/fetish for this stuff?

Hey...it's possible...more often in the religious settings these days.

I'm glad I got the fuck out of high school though. You get a lot more of life than any institution will give you...this is one of those cases.

If I wanted to write something about that...I'd write another fifteen or twenty pages in a solo write I've been working on since three years ago. At least then I'll feel that I'm doing something constructive in my free time.

We rarely do things like that at my high school. The only class with artsy stuff is World Geography last year, and World History this year (same teacher, and she's great). But it's at a minimum of stupidity, so I'm fine. The only real classes that suck are ones that either have a lack of friends (or a class I can't easily/want to make friends in), or a class that's just full of stupid kids who couldn't care less about school. I lacked friends in Journalism, but I easily made new ones via working with them/whatever. The whole class is basically a family... Or, at least, the editors (that includes me ) are.

See, I'm fine with going to church or catachysm/confirmation (Catholic), if we really just discuss the topic. But a school...? That doesn't sound like a prime way to run one...
