"Ain't" is a word, but it's often misused. It is the contraction of "am not", so "I ain't going anywhere" is correct, but something like "she ain't going anywhere" (i.e., "she am not going anywhere") is not.
And yeah, LOL and OMG are certainly commonly enough known by now to be words.
As for ♥, some dictionaries I've seen have a list of symbols and their meanings, or it could be alphabetized as the word "heart". ____________________

no but really, while it is a natural progression of the English language and all, the fact that someone can now justify the use of LOL as a word in actual, physical conversation makes me want to slap the first person I hear use it  |

My English teacher must be on crack then. That's what I've been saying for years and they all look at me like I'm a weirdo. Curse Ohio's crappy educational system! There is a difference between something not being a word, and using a word in a way that is grammatically incorrect.
