Undershirts always. Unless what I am wearing kind of can't have an undershirt.

I used to back in school, when we had a rigid dress code. Our "overshirt" had to be this white button up thing made by a specific company that was thin as all hell, so wearing an undershirt helped hide what was underneath.
^ Except it was an uniform that consisted in a thin shirt with a jacket over it... I always wore both the jacket and the undershirt anyways.

It is a lot less common for women. Whats usually an undershirt for you guys is a colored tang top or something underneath a button up shirt thats left open, or something like that.

Glad to see I'm not some weirdo, though. Nobody else I know wears them under regular graphic t-shirts, only work clothes or dress clothing.

Wear them for work and in the winter whenever I head outside.

During the summer, I still have to wear them at work (along with a VERY light shirt) but I won't wear them on my days off obviously. And never in the house.

I'm the opposite. Around home, I usually wear just an undershirt. Its only when we have company over or I'm going out that I will throw on a regular t-shirt or button up.

Paulguy's Post configuration
If you're only wearing the undershirt then it's not an undershirt.

It's just more clothes to take off.

Also, a lot of people wear a shirt under their chef jacket at work but I can't stand it. It's already hot working in a kitchen and around flames, why add more clothes?
