I'm glad you like them so much! You have no idea how delighted I am to hear this.

It is indeed a Tamagotchi—Kuchipatchi to be specific. He was like the mascot of the very first line of them way back in the 90s and he's my personal favorite! He's also my minipic.

Thanks. I had copypasted one avatar url 16 times, changed the number that was the file and got rid of the broken ones and seemed to have deleted that one by accident.

But yeah, I remember this guy. Had a fake Tamagotchi that I believe was a McDonalds toy. It was a wind up so all it did was have its beak move from left to right.

Oh, and let's not forget the spinoff of Tamagotchi.

The mood avatars are somewhat difficult to make. Not all of the moods make sense ("tired/upset"?) some of them are waaaay to obscure (guru) and a number of them overlap (whatever, bleh; doom, afraid).

And Digimon are awesome, yes, but they're not as cute and friendly! They fight!

I even stitched a colorized version of his digital pet sprite from the PS1 game on my hat. Said hait was a free promotional thing for Guitar Hero, so I just slapped it on top of the logo. I love Gabumon that much. :3

I used to watch digimon's first season long ago... I think Tentomon and Piyomon were my favorites. Now I dunno.

I think that's what turned me off from the third season, actually. THEY CHANGED THE CHARACTERS NOW IT SUCKS. Well okay Guilmon was cute for a giant virus-type raptor.

Yeah. Are those characters still around or did they reboot it again?

I totally don't get it, like, Ash Ketchum totally isn't the most developed character ever but he still has a series focused on him with at least 683 episodes. And it works! because we know who Ash is.

Like, imagine if suddenly the series started following the protagonists of the other games. It'd probably lose a ton of popularity unless their new lead is really interesting.

That's one thing, Pokemon SHOULD have changed characters instead... given how, you know, the games do?

Then again, for that they could just make a PokeSpe anime. But it wouldn't be productive to step on each other toes... (though still, an OVA or something would be nice)

But yeah, Digimon changing characters like that seems pointless, specially with how they had movies and were going strong in popularity with the first season...
