I got the Mo' Creatures mod installed and have been breeding horses trying to get a Nightmare and Dark Pegasus. So I can burn the forests and then fly to a new island.

I should've known that's what you'd be going after.

In all honesty though, I had no idea such a mod existed. Man, they've really pulled out a lot of stops on these mods.

I got this same mod while back and was extremely impressed with it. All the new creatures add so much more to the world. Unfortunately I suck at this mod. I've read the mod's thread over an over and I cannot for the life of me tame a horse, let alone breed one. Very frustrating. I've tried feeding em every food I can make, wasted over 20 saddles, tried on brown, white and black horses and they all buck me off.

I even resorted to trying to edit the java class files, no luck though.

I hope a mod comes out that you can tame other animals the same way too. C'mon, wouldn't you want a pet Creeper?

You have to ride them multiple times sometimes. If you had apples you could auto-tame them that way.

I kinda wanna have two different things of Minecraft. One specifically for mods, and then one that's plain vanilla.

Anyone done that yet? If so, how easy is it to do?

I haven't done it, but it's very possible and maybe a little cumbersome.

You'll have to make a copy of minecraft.jar. Modify one of them as you wish, but keep the other vanilla. Switch out one minecraft.jar for the other when you want to go from vanilla to modded or vice-versa.

Yeah, this is the method I use when switching between single-player and multi-player. Part of a mod I use pretty much destroys my ability to connect to a server for some reason, so I just us the original unmodded version + Too Many Items when I want to do some multiplayer stuff.

I only use Too Many Items because I just love that "right click for a full stack when crafting" feature it has

You know, after watching some you tube videos of this mod (Mo creatures) I realized what I was calling buck off is actually wrong. I was getting glitched off as in not even getting on the horse at all, just glitching through/over it. I have since cleaned out my minecraft folder, re-downloaded it and now the mod works fine.

..and now its broken again

I installed this sweet looking hi-rez Borderlands inspired texture pack and it broke mo creatures again. Wonder how they got both working like that.
