so I guess crafted items have become vintage now (not ones that dropped, purchased, or were traded), continuing tf2's trend of worthless updates.
why don't they make the polycount set hats "vintage" or "genuine" or "kosher" or whatever, and no longer require them for bonuses?

The update actually changed crafting recipies to be simpler for older items (instead of like one refined or reclaimed they were lowered to one scrap). I know for certain that the Headless Horsemann's Axe now costs only 1 refined and not 2, and stuff like the Loch N Load and Amputator cost one scrap plus the required item needed.

Hence why the vintage stuff came to this update.

You also have access to view all blueprints from now on, so crafting something is a lot easier to figure out instead of just guessing when new items come out.

ohh yeah, I forgot about that key detail. They actually made the steak sandvich require more metal, but other than that, crafting isn't as brutal.

I just looooooooove my steak with some metal in it. But I guess since they really have no other crafting materials, a steak must be made of metal.

Ever since yesterday, this game has been crashing repeatedly for me. At first, it seemed fine, and then maybe an hour or so in, it crashed while I was trading with someone. Then it crashed 15 minutes later after I joined again. And then again. I gave up for the night and tried again today. It crashed 5-10 minutes in. And now, it crashes the moment I connect to a server. Anyone else have the same problem? It's most likely because I'm using a mac.

Try verifying your game files. Something may have corrupted.

Also I crafted a Fancy Fedora, but the problem is I already have on that is Vintage and team colored so I want to get rid of it for some other hat that is good.

That looks awesome. Making replays isn't really my thing, but I can't wait to see the kind of stuff people make with it.


Anyway, validating didn't work. In fact, now I can't even start up the game, because now the program crashes as soon as it launches. Not even deleting all local content and redownloading it fixed it.

The crashes sorta began with the dynamic model loader update, and I can only guess the official replay recorder just makes matters even crashier.

I haven't had any crashing, but I've had my framerate drop significantly since the dynamic model loader update.
I can barely hit 30fps on everything set to low, compared to 60+ before on high/max
