You don't have to, it's just a quick patch I made to show the results you would get if you followed the tutorial. (in case you wanted to check the NPCs out beforehand)

Breegullbeak, are you sure that wasn't just a collision type and not a terrain type?

Ooh..sorry about that, Dudaw . If it helps (is that the right word?) any, I can reupload it first thing tomorrow morning with your site URL included in the guide. But, exactly what words did I copy into it? I wrote everything from scratch, unless you mean the NPC data or animations list. I definitley didn't copy anything from your site, that i'm aware of.

KDJewl, nice how you're helping someone with your tutorial there, but I have a slight qualm with you copying my exact written words into a document and then re-uploading it.
I appreciate you giving me credit, but I just find it kind of disrespectful when I said something about linking to my website instead of copying directly from it.

oh you wrote the guide? well i'll give you credit too when my hack is finished
you, KDJewl, and Messaien have both helped me so much with my hack, whether it's tools or info or whatever i'm giving you guys credit in my hack's readme
how do i set the gravity in just one level? i plan on making a moon base level and need to make it have low gravity

Stealing his tutorial is not allowed, but neither do I have link to the original document. Dudaw, post me the original document, and if it is plagiarism, then KDJewl is barred from posting his here and must post the link to yours.

As I'm not interested in nonsense over people stealing eachother's work here.

I have a fast question.

Some weeks back, i changed the starting level on one of my ROMs to BoB. Now, after making 4 new ROMs, with once i open up TT64, every warp in every level is BoB warps. I even tried re-downloading TT64, but still! Any help?

Metal_Man-Thats fine with me, however i'm still unaware of what exactly I copied.

rezapeza-You should just be able to change the warps back to the original levels they pointed to.

Changing all the warps?!?!?!?!? That will take forever!

More questions:
How do i change the water color?
When i have created and imported a level, i can just add 3D objects. I planning to make a tree maze, but i can't since i dont have special objects!

i don't know how to edit water texture
and when you import a level, you only have the red objects right? well those still have all the items, they are just more free then the Macro and Special objects because you can set model ID and behavior and if you are using v15, messiaen said that every level gets imported with trees and doors and to make a tree maze, you would need to change the behavior to solid because you can climb the trees and jump out of the maze, but i'm unaware of how to do that myself, i think messiaen has a guide on his site

Rezapeza, it may take a while, but it DOES work. keep that in mind. However, if you happen to find a quicker way, for example, change them all at once, let me know. That'd be fairly useful for future hacks.

I would assume that if one could pick out the machine code pattern for each warp, a program could be made to automatically set them back to what a normal SM64 ROM does.

But generally it's best to just keep backups rather than have to make programs made entirely around fixing whatever glitch nuked all the locations.

Edit: no big deal about the animation command list. Didn't mean for it to sound like one of those fights about how "my color code was steealed".
I understand plagiarism isn't quite taking a list of info and sharing it with a tutorial (I've seen worse happen.)
So KDJewel, you don't really owe me any apologies. I guess that what I was trying to say just came out wrong.
The stuff on my site is obviously free for your use, and I didn't mean to sound Nazi about it.
Sorry, sorry for any confusion...

Anyway, whoever mentioned the thing about warps...
Does changing the start warp actually replace all the existing warps in the game?
If you find it safe to change the BoB warps to whatever level you want, you may be able to try having any type of file comparison program do a check between a recent backup and the messed up ROM, patch the old warp list settings the ROM with all the BoB warps.
(Or you might do something similar like a PPF patch for example.)

I actually haven't tried changing the start warp before, so I don't know if all the other warps are supposed to be like that or if your problem was caused by something else.

It's a table of addresses. I'm not going to consider that Dudaw's property. Post the guide, KDJewel, and Dudaw, please check next time, as I don't want fights to start over addresses which, in all reality, don't belong to anyone but Nintendo.

No. Probably he didn't notice that the default warps in custom levels are the same as the "Flatworld" ones (that is, Bob-omb's). It takes a few seconds and very few clicks to change them .

I imagine (anyone correct me if I'm wrong) that it would be possible by creating a toxic haze box and water box of roughly the same sizes (or the same, not sure if that would cause any conflicts).

Metal_Man and Dudaw: Okey dokes then.

Hennahacker: I've never thought about trying that. Wouldn't it act mostly the same as normal water or haze, as both substances cause Mario to lose health, correct? Unless it would speed up the health loss...Hmm. I'm definitely trying this when I get home.
