It is you who must stop being so stupid. :p

Clearly paying for that logo on your case is better than this. Yes! The logo is the real source of a computer's power!

I have a Compaq that burned out its memory slot or something, and another Compaq (the one I'm using) somehow has a PCI slot that will crash the computer when Windows tries to install whatever is plugged into it.

On the other hand, all of my non-name-brand computers work fine, except the one that corrupted its bios. Yes, even my old 386 is still chugging away. However, some of them need parts that I don't have or won't fit (stupid baby-AT form factor) - and then only needed them after I tried turning them into servers. It's quite strange.

I want to build one myself, but I think I'll take the more affordable option first and get a new hard drive for my laptop.

Well they won't lose $50mil but Dell will have to pay out a nice settlement, me thinks.

I still have my Compaq with the Celeron 300. My parents use it to surf the web. And I put Windows XP on it.

On a Celeron 300.

...It does the job, I'm amazed. Slow as fsck but eventually I'll get a new PC down the line and my parents can take this lovely Athlon 2500; which, if nothing else, can actually load Firefox in a few seconds.

I have both an HP and a Dell, and I have to say, the HP is worse

My dad's laptop is an HP. I call it a "dy" because the logo is upside-down when you're facing the computer about to open it.

My old 486 is in my basement, I haven't touched it in over 2 years now...

Maybe I should try booting it up over the weekend, it has some old games on it, including Chip's Challenge, one of my favourites.

I wish I had Chip's Challenge. Everyone else had it...I remember playing it at my cousins' house a lot.

I have an old 486 at my parents' place with some really obscure games on it. Anyone here ever heard of, say, Kroz?

I wonder what influenced that person to send those E-mails?

Anyways, never liked Dell either, I always build PC's with my name on it. DALE....PC's....*Chuckles*

No, but you can get Chip's Challenge no problem off the net.

You can just as easily get Tile World, an enhanced reimplementation of the game. It's well worth it.

Talks too much

I have a self-built one at school for part of a program, which I'll be able to take home at the end of the school year.

Gateway's desktops are rather amazing, really... this one's only become crappy ever since McAfee was installed on it.

Their laptops are crappy though, from my experiences...
