Status of my Heart Gold game.
Caught a female red Gyarados at Lake of the Rage.
Just won the seventh gym badge in Johto.
Then beat team rocket.
Now off to catch a Geodude to teach it strength and rock smash so I can get past the ice path because if I remember right it was that way in the original gold, silver and crystal. . I will update later in another post with levels, team and other info including progression.

 Finally got around to being done with SoulSilver version. Namely, taking down Gary and the Celebi event. I love my Tentacruel. She took out half of Gary's team and almost all of Giovanni's.

I managed to find one just this morning and caught it.
Right now I'm just EV training Oshawott in Attack until it evolves, then I'll head off to the second Gym.

Update on my Heart Gold game.
Well I got the 8th gym badge now and now I beat the Kimono girls to get that bell.
Now I am up on top of the tower trying to catch a Ho-oh without use my Master ball.
Anyone have some advice on how to catch Ho-oh without using my Master Ball. It would be much appreciated, thank you.

Ho-oh is no different from any other pokemon in regards to capturing. Weaken, false swipe to 1 hp, hypnosis, start lobbying 20+ ultra balls.....profit. In heart gold he is only like lvl 40 so it should be cake, Lugia is significantly harder since it will be 70.
So umm, yeah I got Black version yesterday. Are we just gonna continue discussion of Black and White here in this thread? Okies. Anyways, I am absolutely in love with Black. The detail and ambiance feels much more lively and fresh. Cities are actually exciting to discover and very different from each other. The amount of wifi/connectivity features is outta this world, meta-game users rejoice. The speed of battle is what really brings a smile to my face, with animations off, battles are lightning fast, just the way I like it. Menu navigation is also lightning fast unlike all Gen 4 games that seemed slow as molasses to move about.
The single downside I find is the inability to transfer items along with my Gen 1-4 pokes with the pokeshifter, it really makes my bag full of heart scales, shards, rare berries and useful TM's go sadface. Yeah, I know TM's are now multi use but you don't actually get the good ones till after Elite Four.
Regardless, Im 4 badges in and look forward to trading with yall soon as I get pokemon worth trading for. Still though:

Ho - Oh is 45 and Lugia will be at 75, well i keep paralyzing it with my Red Gyarados thunder and I lower its HP as close to 1 as I can it just doesn't seem to be enough.

I tried doing the double battle with my rival vs. Clair and Lance. Haha. There's no way I can beat that. Time for White Version!
