I got to play a few seconds of a demo in Best Buy. Sadly, the second remote wasn't working, so my bro couldn't play co-op. I didn't really get a chance to try out the controls, but I got to see my brother get humiliated by a crab.

I kept finding myself wanting to clap to grab enemies.

D. Trucks bought me this game.

And oh my god it is absolutely fantastic. The jumping is a little strange at first but once you adjust you get used to it.

One thing I noticed is that early on you will get lives. Lots. If you are any decent at games you can complete the first level with 10 lives.

In the later levels, you will need all you can get. You will die. Lots.

The second world was a bit of "eh I don't care for it" at first, but the later levels with the octopus and the pirate crabs and then the level with the tidal wave of death OH MY GOD GOOD

World 4 is totally brutal and a total blast at the same time.

World 5 is pretty cool. Forest levels weren't my favorite in DKC but these are very good in their own right.

Waggle controls will take adjusting. Rolling is a bit harder but far from impossible.


World 6 can bite me.

Yeah this game is growing on me more now. The later levels of world 2 blew me away! I'm currently in world 4 and its the first world where I have died A LOT but it's a total blast! I love minecart levels so that was like a dream come true for me. I'll definitely be playing more of this once I get more time.

do you know if this works for the gamecube controller too?

It doesn't. Someone would have to make a code for it if it even could support it, something tells me the game has no calls to hook for GCN.

Me and my bro just got through World 6. Wow, this game is so amazing! The levels are so dynamic and lively, and the minecart levels just get so crazy with everything falling apart around you.

World 6 is by a large margin, the most forgettable and least fun world in the whole game. Hands down.

Yep, gotta love when characters from other games somehow find their way into the background . World 7 was by far my favorite, those levels were my favorite in the original DKC so having a whole world full of them in Returns is really awesome .

Just bought the game this weekend and started playing it with a friend. So far I've been very impressed. I love the amount of collectibles in each stage so far. Currently in World 2.

my friend and I finally beat this fucker. I'm surprised by how tame the final boss seemed after the hell we went through getting to him. I can't imagine ever getting 100% with this game.
I love how creative they got with ways to frustrate the hell out of the player.
