Man, that sheet music looked like a black and white Jackson Pollock painting for some portions.

Either that, or somebody spilled ink all over it.

Whoever actually composed that in piano seriously has no life.

And just how many hands did the composer have? Was he like an 8-handed Martian or something?

Honestly, that doesn't look very extraordinary to me (although I'm saying this as someone who doesn't have to play it). You should see the things that people like Franz Liszt come up with.

See here.

Here's an utterly random sample!

Liszt is awesome. Difference is, at least he wrote music that's actually playable by human hands~

My hands can stretch almost an octave and a half, but it's quiiiite the stretch, and I wouldn't be able to do it quickly, multiple times, nor would I be able to play notes in between reliably. I know this was written for a program (written for the sound, not realistic playability), and it does sound cool. It's interesting, but to me, there is something lovely about a song played by people.. we put tonality into music that gets lost when a program plays the same thing.

Is this actually intended to be for the piano or something? It just looks like someone just dumped a bunch of MIDI data onto a staff.

It's written for tentacle monsters.

The top-most piece is mostly just a song meant for other instruments repurposed for Piano, then as it continues on they seem to just be adding millions of chords. Thus making it unplayable by human beings. :p

The others are arguably at least partially playable, although that MIDI keyboard playing that song makes me wonder if it's meant for two people sitting at one piano at once or something. :p

Get enough people like this and it might be actually playable.

In fact, the MIDI is designed in such a way that it is technically possible to play it on one piano. (Of course, I have doubts that you could do so without the help of a machine.)

I was thinking that if four people were on that piano, then it'd might be physically possible.

By the way the song in the OP is apparently something from Touhou and has nothing to do with the actual piece(s) entitled "Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz" by John Stump

Release the penguins?
insert peanuts?
remove cattle from stage?
add bicycle?

What the hell is with the instructions on that piece!?
