| We've had a lot of support in the video-production category, so let's put our skills to the test!
A contact of mine in the press has expressed interest in this project and has offered to help raise awareness. He works for AMN, although official mention on that site isn't guaranteed. Still, the guy has connections (and a somewhat popular blog), and his interest in and support of my ROM hacking activities in the past have been instrumental to my longevity as a hacker. I won't reveal who it is just yet, but sly users could probably figure it out. Anyways, I want to make a video to get the general public informed and interested in the project. Pre-hype, as it were. I'm thinking something along the lines of "The Past and The Future," which would detail the global desire for the F-Zero X Expansion Kit and the deficit of people who can actually get their hands on one. Then, it would make a sweep across subjects to the ROM hacking community (that's us!), where some clips made with the existing FZX editor will show what will be possible when this project is completed. I myself have the Expansion Kit, so I can provide any and all footage that we think would be good to include. I can also record videos from emulators, so that can be helpful as well. I won't throw in too many ideas in this post, because I want US to think it up. But one restriction I will put in is that it must get the point across that the Expansion Kit is too awesome for anyone to own, but that we ROM hackers will provide the world with something even better. |
