Looks like we're gonna get a bunch of new things this week sometime, including beds and redstone delay/repeater blocks.
It'll be nice to see what other things are going to pop up in this coming update.

I haven't figured out how to do redstone stuff yet. It's a bit confusing, but it's the only thing I really have yet to learn in Minecraft.

I was going to make a very sneaky system to power the door to my place, but I found a better system that works.
Right now though, I'm too busy exploring this ENORMOUS-ASS CAVE that I found kind of near my house. I mean, holy shit, this thing is a labyrinth. Just when I think I've mapped it all out, I find another path that I missed. o.O

oh yes gametrailers has a 20-minute Minecraft mini-documentary thing here.
e: also the server was updated to zmod 0.2 and now has a pvp area called the Qube -- take the skyway (which is just north of spawn) north for a while and you'll reach it. There's a shrine set up there so once you activate said shrine you can warp back with "/shrine qube"
also /home now actually sends you to spawn properly

Oh so warp point placements are now back and functional?
If that's the case, I'll set one up so people can go to MineArts & Crafts.
EDIT: Fuck yes! Apparently beds will double as a respawn point, so the last bed you slept in is where you'll re-appear when you die.
