Being sick doesn't help, though. I've slept quite enough over the weekend (and Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday and Friday at that), and now that the weekend is over, I can't sleep.

Luckily, I don't have any lab work to do tomorrow so I have no obligations until the afternoon.

Nice.

I've had two tall glasses and one small glass of cola so I'm still pretty awake. Though now I'm getting exhausted and making silly mistakes, both typographical and nonsensical.

Man, I can't stand colas. If you drink them, you become LESS refreshed than before drinking them. Unless you drink more cola. I can't afford that, logically or financially.

I was a bit absent, as usual, this weekend. Most of it was spend sleeping. Our kids are pretty well trained to sleep until about 9-10am. Saturday, my wife started working on her school project. She's going to cosmetology school and their end of quarter project is to style their male manikin head without using real hair (they shave the heads at the end of the class). No restrictions on creativity. She originally wanted to do something from World of Warcraft but decided against it. I was flipping through images and she saw a screen from Avatar (the $2.7 trillion one) and decided to do a Na'vi based on Jake Sully at the end with all the war paint on. It turned out really well, I still need to get a picture of it. I'll post one after lunch.

I've been awakened by early-morning fire alarms a few times. Funny how they only ever seem to go off at like 4 AM. I don't remember any fire alarms going off at a more civilized hour (fire drills don't count).

I absolutely hate fire alarms nowadays. After living in the dorm apartment thing last year where fire alarms happened, um....a lot (even the moving out day wasn't safe as I got woke up at fucking seven in the morning), it's so nice to be at home where I don't have to get out for that shit if, there is in fact, and actual fire.

I don't count burning food as a fire, only because that's common and stupid. =/

One of my fire alarms was caused by someone tossing a lit cigarette down the trash chute

I don't miss dorms one bit. Between the fire alarms and the constant late-night partying...

This reminds me of my idiotic decision to use Dr. Pepper as my main means of hydration while hiking through the desert.
