I think I have successfully forgotten ALL of my substitute teachers except for one. And she worked in the elementary, middle, and high schools. She somehow became a super bitch in high school, but I recall her being pretty okay in elementary school for some reason.

Now if I could only forget my 6th grade math teacher...

What, was your school in the middle of nowhere?

No, it would be very easy to get substitute teachers. But they were too lazy to get some, and since there's no law requiring them to get substitute teachers, they just did nothing and let everyone go home.

I had a pretty cool one that had an eyepatch on. He would always start the class by telling a fake story about how he lost his eye in a badass way, and then would tell you the real story if you wanted to hear it. He eventually became the mayor of the small city/town I live in. He's pretty much liked by everyone on town.

There was one substitute teacher we had who was totally nutty. Like, if you asked if you could go to the bathroom, he'd say, "Wait, let me finish rocking out to this tune first" and then he'd air guitar for a few seconds. One day, he fired a laser pointer into a kid's eye as a joke and soon after that we never heard from him again.

Yep. It was some sort of disease or natural defect (he never said which) that degraded his sight in that eye to the point where it was useless, so he decided to wear an eyepatch instead of trying to get surgery to fix it.

But that isn't as badass as him getting his eye punched out on an improv boxing match on a Navy ship, which is one of the fake stories he told. Photobucket

In a science class, students would often shine the lab's laser around at pseudorandom while people walked in and out. I was scared that they'd shine it in my eyes (I was the buttmonkey of that class), and I think that partially contributed to this immense fear of blindness that I've developed.

Most of my substitute teachers are those that don't really care about the class. They usually just sit there and tell us what assignment we were left with by our teacher, and they don't really care about how loud the class is talking.

Mine were like that too.

Hell, the assignment was literally busy work most of the time - it was never graded. I'd either go to sleep or sneak out the PSP. Depends on the substitute, really.
