Yeah, I got bit confused too. Apparently, in America for the passed month or so GameStop has been giving away the 3 legendary dogs in store. That is all over with.
Later, GameStop will be giving away celebi too starting Feb 21 - March 7.
In addition to that, Nintendo themselves are giving away those same legendary dogs through wifi. As in you don't have to leave the house.
Raikou is February 7 - February 13
Entei is February 14 - February 20
Suicune is February 21 - February 27
Perhaps celebi will be given away too through wifi, but cant find any confirmation.
This is all for America according to serebii and so far its all true, since, well I have gotten every single dog from GameStop for my Diamond cart and just got Raikou too for my HeartGold cart.

Ah balls, I missed Raikou.
Knew I shouldn't have procrastinated. Are the natures of these promomon fixed, or should I soft reset to get a non-terribad nature? |

5571 | Guess what happened when I took out my old Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire games? Yep, "the internal battery has run dry"
Looks like none of my triangle bit from my 33-piece bit set seem to fit the Y-shaped screw either... wonder where I can get the right screwdriver for this. Any ideas? I decided to import all of my Sapphire Pokémon into SoulSilver, but the hard thing is all the ones in Ruby (over 150, I believe)

I remember the really old Pokemon games (Game Boy, Game Boy Color) also required the internal battery to retain the game saves as well. If it is the way I think it is the GBA versions did the same thing so you might be screwed however i will look into this some more.

Nah, the GBA games just use the battery to power the clock. Anything pre-GBA era used a battery, though.
I know, because my Sapphire cart still has a perfectly fine ability to save just no clock. |

Internal battery is to power the clock, which all it does is grow trees, fill a cave with water, and count rockets (and move Kyogre and Rayquaza around in Emerald I think). Fire Red and Leaf Green have no battery. (You can't evolve Eevee into Espeon nor Umbreon)

Just a hack. Can't get them in FR/LG directly, need to trade from one of the other games.
Hack probably got the idea from XD, in which there are items with that effect.

I don't think there's even a "level up while holding item" flag for evolution, so unless that was hacked in too you probably are mixing it up with the Mystery Dungeon games or XD.
Funnily enough, it can evolve into either RSE, but there are no Eevee in Hoenn.

Nope, for FrLg you can't evolve them in game. You have to trade them to one of the games with a clock or use the XD items on them.
Pokemon XD added two items that would evolve Eevee into Espy/Umby if they had high happiness. |

It is the same way for Heart Gold and Soul Silver because you can not get Leafeon because there is no Mossy Rock or Glaceon because the is no Ice Rock. However both rocks will be in Black in White when it comes out.

Here is my concern about the original DS Pokemon games on the first generation of 3DS Pokemon games come out.
How are we going to get our Pokemon off our DS game cart on a 3DS game cart because they both use the same card port on the 3DS.
I only see the use of of a DS line system or a 3DS with DS version plugged in and a 3DS with a 3DS Pokemon game in the primary system to Transfer to.

Either that, or they're gonna make a clear break like with the switch from Generation 2 to 3... Although that mainly had technological reasons I believe, with GBA games simply being unable to link to GBC ones - different voltage on the link port, plus a different protocol or so.
Yeah but transferring from GBA to DS was easy though.
Also if it is is a clear break I will fell like I will have wasted 4 days of my life.

You could just borrow someone else's DS. That's what we did way back when the GBC was the newest thing on the block, and goddammit we liked it!
Kids these days...
