I would've said "nice" in response to this, but then I realized that your grade probably consists entirely of test grades and that you need to do the HW if you want to do good on the tests.
Those teachers are built for people who can remember everything the first time and don't need to study. Too bad those types of people never get that type of teacher.
"Too bad those types of teach exist in the first place." is what you should be saying. |

No, they exist, I had one for two classes straight.
If you have time to study, easy A. If you don't, instant F. They're brutal. Don't take them unless you've got the time to seriously put in effort.

And that's why I don't take those types of classes. I hate how it's either an A or F. Screw that. |

Still, 50/50 odds for an A or an F is a lot better than what you could get with another teacher.
I don't mind Bs and the occasional C (though I would certainly prefer As), so other teachers aren't that bad to me. |

With my parents, anything below 85% is considered a fail. I gotta get A's. Than again, It's probably good that they do that because I'm trying to get into a good university
Just watch out for the inevitable burnout. I used to be like that (parents just wanted good grades, but I kept pushing myself), but then I burned out in the middle of high school and I haven't been that anal about grades on myself since.
I think it was for the best. |

A lot of math teachers only care whether you do the homework, they don't care if the answers are correct except on tests and often a small number of homework problems.
I always make sure to do the problems correctly because I'm a paranoid bastard that's afraid they'll always check an assignment. |

I'm reminded of a math teacher I had once who, when I accidentally handed in the wrong assignment, just checked it off anyway... that kind of ruined my motivation to do the homework in that class, though...
Sometimes I just recycle old homework in science for homework checks. Easy grades.
I guess you learned that gaming the system is more useful than actually working within it. |

I used it a lot.
Then I got Professor Vogt, who would auto-fail you if you used what he deemed to be too many words. Everyone failed his first essay. I dropped and came close to suicide. (not just over that, he was incredibly tough all around, as was another teacher I had)
Sounds like my kinda professor. |
