Our ads in subway stations range from upcoming movies to local restaurants to charitable ads. Nothing too extraordinary.

Some stations do have screens set up with news/sports/etc. and show commercials as well... again, those center around local business with some exceptions. Like, say... Old Spice.

The subways here don't have many ads, and when they do, it's all TV shows.

Do they have any of those animated ads? In the Red Line in Boston, there's one part where they had a row of TVs on the tunnel wall that started showing an ad when the train goes by it. (though I think it may have been removed?)

Here, they have some of those billboards where they're made out of panels that turn around to show another ad on the back. One of these can actually be seen from either side, and looking at it from the back is weird with the image all chopped up.

I never really pay attention to ads that are at the bus station or the bus stop.

In Frankfurt they have large billboards that show current news and stock market values. No idea why you would use it, but...

This remind me of some ad "stands" I see in malls.

They're on some kind of reel or something, and the ads will scroll around. I've always found that an interesting way to show ads. Haven't seen one in ages, though.

I don't particulary care about ads at bus stops or stations, but when ads cover a busses' windows, then they're annoying:

Of course, they aren't fully opaque from the inside, but they still block the view to an extend.

That's not bad at all. At least those look pretty good compared to the extremely tacky designs I see on buses around where I live.

There are, now that you mention it, hordes of TVs, and many of them playing commercials, down in the subway here in Los Angeles.

Many people from Germany here

I live in Berlin, some buses have ads like that "BZ" one on this random Flickr image I found (reuploaded). This shows a typical double-decker bus seen here. Without ads, the bus just has this yellow colour you see around the front lights overall. I have no problem with this kind of advertisment (you cannot do anything even if you didn't like it ), although this specific ad seems pretty boring. It markets a bigger daily newspaper in Berlin, though not my favourite one.

Inside those buses there are not too many ads, due to lack of space for them - except small stickers below the handles to open the upper windows. In the subway are some posters additionally, this means slightly more ads than in those buses. But if those are not interesting I won't notice them anyway.

Our buses on campus generally have ads for off-campus housing and "your call" ads (our school's campaign to encourage responsible drinking).
Some of them are witty and make me laugh

Inside of busses, we don't really have many ads here either. Generally, there's maybe one poster-sized ad right behind the driver's seat, which more often than not features events in the city, community service offers, things like that; they aren't really ads in the commercial sense.

Besides that, there's nothing on the inside I believe. I'd even go as far as saying that the bus network overview in every bus is bigger than this one ad I mentioned
