Hello everybody,
I just joined a LARP  , This is my fist LARP. And I need to buy some Garb and weapons, but with my current situation Everything I have been able to find online is a bit pricey, So I was hoping that the wonderful community of Jul may have some experienced LARPers who could give me some advice on how to make some simple garb and a simple boffer weapon. Or maybe direct me to a site that has affordable gear.

I've roleplayed a bit and making boffer weapons isn't hard. Quick google search and you should find plenty of sites on how to make boffers. Basically all you need is a plastic tube, foam and duct tape.
Depends on where you live, but at least in Finland you can find plenty of flea markets and search for old clothes. A seemingly ragged leather jacket can be turned into a padded armor by some sewing and such. Use your imagination.
I don't know about commercial stuff though. I've bought a few cheap daggers from different shops and some plastic swords, but that's mostly it.

Unless you need like, crazy theatrical stuff, just go to a Goodwill or other kind of thrift store and see if you can find anything there. It's cheap and if nothing else, if you can learn to sew (or have someone to help you), you can always use material that you find there for something else or modify it.

Thank you everybody for your stellar advice. I have constructed a fair amount of boffers (a staff, sword, axe,and club), and some pieces of armor as well (a pouldron, grieves, and van braces). but I have had trouble finding leather garb to go under these armor pieces.
