There are several things that need to be done with the F-Zero X editor, and only part of it revolves around programming. Here are some of the non-programming things that we'll need to get done:
* I want a promotional video or two to be produced for the editor. We'll need some people proficient in capturing footage and editing videos in order to achieve this.
* There are some quirky things in the ROM data that don't quite make sense. Simple tools will be provided to investigate these things, and they don't require a lot of technical knowledge.
* I've amassed a whole lot of hacking notes over the time that I've spent looking into this game, and the information needs to be documented. I'll need someone who knows some HTML to get all this stuff documented.
* Marketing is a point of interest. When the editor reaches its final stages of completion, I'll need a few good peeps to go out and spread the word.
* Unlike most hacking utilities, this one's gonna have a manual. Again, some HTML-knowing person will be needed to help with this part.

| | I might be able to assist in the ROM quirks (not today though; I'm tired and not staying up much longer). I might also be able to "market" but I've never really done something like that before (I have a good idea on how it's done though).

| The hacking notes are basically a bunch of text files with no complete sentences in them. I'll clean up the data as I post it here in the forum to make it easier to read and use, but I'd also like to have it all available in an indexed HTML format for easy browsing. Think of it like an online book. A book that needs to be made. |

(And we need some video capturing material without a nag bar, too. Which is something that I don't have. No video editing software, either.)

I definitely can assist with this. I have Camtasia Studio so I can screen record. Though I'm not the best at video editing I think I know a few people who can help. (I won't mention names because I don't like signing people up without them knowing.)
As for HTML stuff, I do have Dream Weaver, but then again I have no real experience designing a good web page. So please only come to me if you're desperate in this area.

 | I'd be interested in helping out with the promotional video(s) and/or the user manual. I think I'd especially be able to help put the manual into language that people can easily understand, since I myself have almost no experience with ROM hacking, or even level editors. I could also help HTML-ize the manual.

| I might be crazy (in fact, I'm fairly sure I am ...), but HTML doesn't really sound too appealing. It seems to be better off using LaTeX (use LyX for those that don't write plain LaTeX) so you can do fancy cross-references and other things where HTML would have to be manually adjusted for every minor thing. You can always generate HTML page(s), PDF, etc from a LaTeX source, so easy viewing by users will not be hindered. |

I could probably help with the promotional videos. At least, the editing part. I'm pretty good with Windows Movie Maker; I made a 30 minute movie of the trip I took to New Mexico using the pictures and video from the trip.
I might be able to help also with the quirky things but that depends on the level of technical knowledge I'd need. I'm hopeless unless people spell out how to do stuff with code.
