I'm completely indifferent to this. I'm not a fan of COD or GH anyway. I only play COD6 when I'm bored with everything else we have and I haven't touch GH in about a year.

At the rate they're opening up now CoD studios I'm expecting that there'll be a new CoD every half a year instead of the current once a year.

Activision is pretty much left with Tony Hawk and CoD. I see Tony Hawk suffering the same fate, so CoD will be the last one left.

I never really got into the whole Guitar Hero thing, mostly because of the amount of games and the fact that I felt like I had to throw my wallet to the developers in order to be able to play it.

To me, it was just another DDR. I'm not surprised that it went away anyway.

I'm also not surprised Activision is going full on CoD, since it is one of the best-selling game series right now.

True Crime is canned, but Tony Hawk isn't having another game this year.

Although, again, I see Tony Hawk going to the trash bin real soon to make way for more CoD and Activision pushing Blizzard for Diablo III.

Note that DJ Hero had only two games, with one game per year which would be fine if it weren't for the fact Guitar Hero was publicized more than DJ Hero. Only reason DJ Hero 2 got any kind of promotion was due to Deadmau5 and he is a pretentious fuck.

From what I've seen on forums and the like, I think the CoD series is slowly starting to become stale. BO was supposed to be super different with it's currency system and the like, but it didn't really pan out outside of not having to grind for certain attachments anymore.

I read some where they are going to have something like this happen for development:
1. Online
2. Story
3. DLC

So they could be rebuilding it from the ground up online wise.

Also, I agree it is stale and boring now.
