Machi-Machi v. Kyan!
And Supernova also sucks. :\

Anyways, I'll have to let people know how it works...

Supernova 2 sucks as well. I tend to tell people who wish to buy it....to not to. Most DDR players will agree, but the casual DDR player doesn't care.

Only thing is, the SN we spoke of is the AC version. The AC version to 2, funnily, isn't out yet and -may- have a small bit of merit past the stupid edits that are in it.

Uh, that's a fan? Looks more like a heatsink to me.

I won't know until next week. Said fan is now back-ordered and the comp that initially wanted was sold out within the first day...I think I got what I was looking for though.

By the by, HH, it IS a heatsink but in means of a fanless cooler. There's a cheaper one of those that HAS a fan but does the same thing. This one just doesn't require it because it does a shitload more than any processor fan usually could.

Is it weird that I sometimes find myself generating mental pictures of sound? It's hard to describe just what it looks like, almost like a 3D oscilloscope, but not quite. Maybe someday I can write a program to simulate it or something...

There was one person who made a program like that. They use it for museum shows and stuff. Dr. Stephen Nachmanovitch's Visual Music Tone Painter. I know because I quoted him in speech class. :3

Too bad it's restricted only for use in museums and the like. :x

On a random note,

I used to convert lines to sounds as a kid and wondered why nobody understood me. I think an "ee" sound represented a line going to the left, "ah" was a line down, and "oo" was a line to the right, so S would be "ee-ah-oo-ah-ee" (all together in a continuous syllable).

Only problem with that concept is that any one person's thought process is usually multi-tasking and runs several streams of information through at any given nanosecond.

Unless you had a way to cut the interference of other things in twain, you'd be getting nothing but white noise. Maybe the strongest sound or voice is the one that wins?

Images of sound, not sounds of images.

Yeah, well the sounds of images for me was really only for line-drawn symbols like letters or numbers. I remember I would use something like "uh uh" only said more coughing-like to represent a double quote mark, and that's the only one my parents understood after a while. I eventually started using it for scare quotes in speech, but switched to the more normal air-quote gesture.

Yeah, I generally use air-quotes or say "quote-unquote" in speech, although I seem to use air-quotes more often now.

So, when you do "quote-unquote", do you say quote at the beginning of the thing that's supposed to be in quotes and unquote at the end, or both words at the beginning (which I hear people do sometimes)?

Yeah, I always thought that sounded funny. Like would quote unquote good be parsed as ""good? I know it wouldn't, but that would be true in the literal sense of you think about it...

Parsed? Is real life a programming language now?
