Candy sticks still exist, though, I think - though I don't look for such things, so I haven't seen them around.

I can't stand cigarette smoke, in part because of my asthma. The other part is that it's just noxious.

It seems I'm not the only one who holds my breath when passing people who do.

I'm actually amazed the smoke wouldn't bother a non-smoker as much. How can you stand breathing that shit in?

Well, part of it has to do with the fact that most people around here smoke outdoors due to smoking bans and such. So generally there's a breeze or you can position yourself to avoid most of it if you wish.

The other part of it is that I'd rather be sniffing tobacco smoke than weed, which is quite a problem around here.

*THAT* is a smell I'm strongly against.

I smoke occasionally. My rules are to not buy packs of cigarettes but to bum singles off of people. The other rule is to limit myself to one or two a week. I go weeks without smoking, so I'm not addicted and never have been. I space it all out because I still maintain the high you get when you first start smoking cigarettes (Probably having to do with lack of oxygen or something) and I enjoy the smell.

I smoke. I grew up in a household with three smokers in it, so I've never been able to smell cigarette smoke. Funnily enough, though, I didn't start smoking until over a year after I left for college. *shrug*

My dad always smoked. I was around it infrequently enough, I guess, that I could keep smelling it.

The worse thing of all was how my mom's side of the family kept up non-stop bitching about smelling like cigarette smoke after being around my dad. Well...no duh, he's a smoker. What do you expect? e_e

My grandma smoked and got a few blood clots in her lungs. Then she went in for spinal surgery and was forced to stop and she hasn't smoked since, which is fantastic for her.
