I was dinking around on the internet today and found a interesting article. http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118019212?refCatId=14
It says that Haim Saban bought back Power Rangers from Disney.
I was just wondering two things?
1. I was wondering if anyone watched Power Rangers as a kid or as in my case still do.
2. What do you think this means for the franchise as a whole. |

 | I LOVED the old school power rangers as a kid (who didn't?) but I kind of fell out of it after the first movie came out. I didn't like all the cast changes, and I sort of outgrew it. However, thanks to these reviews, I've started watching the series again to find out what all I've missed, and I've gained a whole new appreciation for the show. (At least, I did until I got to about the same point mid season 2 that I originally stopped watching the series, got sidetracked by other things, and started watching DS9, Babylon 5, and SATAM instead. Oddly enough, this is pretty much exactly what I did in the 90s )
I don't really know what the buyout is going to mean for the show, as I haven't gotten that far in the series to judge between Disney and Saban, but I hope it will be a good thing.

I watched it until they went "Turbo" and got the car oriented zords. The moment that happened I quit. The whole car thing unsettled me growing up. Since then I have never watched an episode.

 | Yeah, even though I stopped watching regularly in season 2, I still checked in every once in a while and had an interest in it. Then I saw Turbo: A Power Rangers movie, and all hope I had for the show died until I saw those reviews 15 years later. Turbo was so outrageously bad.

| I remember watching them for a while as a kid and loving them. Power Rangers was the first show I would watch as a kid that was not a cartoon. I then slowly moved away from them as time went on, but went back and watched a few episodes every so often and laughed at how corny they are. I mean, really. They are just hilarious. |

I loved DinoThunder, they brought back Tommy from MMPR(green and white), ZEO(red) and TURBO(red).
Apparently after Turbo, he went to college got a PhD in paleontology and became a high school science teacher .

| | | | | JDF has been in martial arts for a long while. He even has his own dojo. He got a submission on his first fight. Watching it, he was a little sloppy but he pulled off the win.

Only around a year or so.
I also idolized Tommy ( Jason David Frank) when I was younger and I remember when i was four or five had the biggest crush on Kimberly (Amy Jo Johnson) the original pink ranger and after all these years still do. |

Only a year or so for what? His Dojo has been around for at least 4 years and he's been in to martial arts since before he started Power Rangers. It was only recently that he's forayed into MMA, if thats what you mean.
