The government placed a ban on smoking in schools and was supposed to result in a £50 fine. But considering that my secondary school didn't give a shit about it's students, they never upheld it.

Actually, here in Washington, you can't smoke at all even within 25 feet of a public building's entrance.

There were no smoking signs around my college, but they were disregarded. I have learned to adore rain since nobody goes out to smoke.

But, you can simply leave school during break and smoke right in front of the entrance. They can't do anything.

My high school wouldn't let us do that. We had to stay on school grounds, although we were allowed to exit the building itself.

I do remember people smoking in the bathrooms, occasionally, though. Someone even started a trashcan fire, once.

Aside from that, though, incidents there weren't too common.

Well we did a lot of bad stuff.

Like repeatedly triggering the fire alarm during the project week so the project fails miserably due to lack of time. Or blowing up the computer like I mentioned already.

They sent him to a camp in Spain to learn social skills and he tried to escape to Africa (!) but was caught by Spanish border patrol. Then at the age of 14, he went amok with a truck, drove straight through Europe and killed a policeman in the process.

Holy shit.

My school would hand out suspensions like candy sometimes, although usually if you were a repeated offender or it was something really bad. Otherwise, you typically had to stay after school for an hour on one or more days.
