| For anyone wanting to look at alpha/beta material for the Unreal series, there are a couple torrents of interest. I'm not sure about torrent linking policy here, but these are very easily googled:
* Unreal Beta Anthology This is a collection of alphas and betas put together by fan Delacroix. It houses the Unreal 1995 Tech Demo, Unreal 1998 Beta, Unreal Tournament Beta, Unreal Tournament 2003 E3 Demo, Unreal Tournament 2003 Beta, and Unreal II Alpha. It's a real goldmine. There's a lot of beta information already published in threads at BeyondUnreal, and a few fans there are still trying to contact developers for further lost or scrapped content, including very rare scrapped maps for UT's Dreamcast and PSX ports. * Unreal Series Complete Music Collection This is a complete collection of all music from the series, including all the material from the known betas and alphas. The readme (and for Unreal, another text file in the beta music folder) explain all the differences between games music-wise, making it very easy to port it to the wiki. * Unreal Series Complete Sound Effect Collection All sound effects, including all those betas, along with ZIPs of sound effect collections from the betas with duplicates from other games removed by a duplicate checker. |
