Especially now that logs are possible charcoal, so a stack of 64 logs can be turned into 64 charcoal. This is a big one if you need a lot of torches or need to do lots and lots of smelting and don't have a huge reserve of coal.


As for cobblestone, it's not exactly in huge supply... Eppy's huge building binges require massive quarries just to get it, and even then he runs out easily... I'm sure a little competition in that market wouldn't exactly be a bad thing

Also, if you recall the last map, as soon as I joined, I really started to empty all the cobble supplies because of my building. and yes, I do run out of cobble constantly.

I propose having some kind of special "Battle Map" with PvP and some kind of war game rules or something with traps. I dunno, I brought it up in the chat a couple of times but I don't know how much interest there'd be.

I just thought it'd be kind of a cool idea to make a game for the sole purpose of having teams and raiding other people's castles and killing them and shit. It'd be like a crazy-ass interactive Rampart or something.

I probably should've edited for this, but whatever.

I usually end up with more cobble than I can do stuff with because I have a bizarro-hippie style method of never wanting to destroy the landscape much. If someone wants any and I have some to spare, they're more than welcome to it.

Or CTF. Just make a trap-filled fort, put something rare and valuable somewhere in the fort, like a diamond block or a record or something, tell the other team what it is they are looking for, and BAM! PvP.

It's more like, if PVP is enabled in the server's settings.

You still can smack other players though, it just doesn't do damage

Hey, so does anyone play on a laptop, find it getting hot, and have a cooling pad for it?

I'm just kind of on the market for one since my laptop gets hot pretty quick when playing this game and since it's a new laptop, I'm kinda-sorta paranoid about it. Anyone got something to recommend?

I don't know of any good cooling pads, but I definitely feel your pain because I'm playing MC on a Dell Inspiron and there's already been a few times where it overheats while playing Minecraft. Doesn't help that this range of laptops is kind of known for overheating problems in the first place

I'm using a Microsoft Cooling Pad, which costed about 30 euros, USB-plug. It really helps my Toshiba not overheating when playing Minecraft or any other demanding game

I recommend a Belkin pad. It's not too expensive and is pretty quiet. I can't play Minecraft without having it on.

Well, from a friend's house, I checked the server. There's a mod now?

Could someone list the changes, new stuff built, etc. in the last week? It'll be useful once I come back Tuesday with home Internet. Nevermind, Internet's back up. Nonetheless, what's special about the mod? And apparently Peaceful's gonna be changed soon?
