I had planed on being first in line at my local Wal-Mart to get the 3DS (like I was with the Wii) although after seeing what the launch titles are going to be I must admit that I'm quite disappointed. I was hoping that at least some Mario game or Ocarina of Time would be a launch title although right now it looks like that isn't going to be the case...

I will get one, but probably not at launch... I'll wait to see how the game lineup finally shakes out.

I will say that a lot of the new features are nice, though... including Nintendo *FINALLY* making the Friend Code format acceptable by having one code per system - NOT per game.

When the there stop being DS games altogether and they have a better model, I'll get one. (Actually, I kind of don't like the buttons layout, but whatever)

Nintendo isn't exactly known for long term support of previous systems. Maybe a year or so but not to the extent of Sony. DSi is to the DS as the GBC is to the original GB. They still made games compatible with both for a whilr, but after the GBA came about, it replaced the GB/GBC pretty quick. I can see the 3DS pretty quickly replacing the DS in the same way, so I wouldn't depend on them releasing games for it for much longer.

I'm really excited for Star Fox 3DS. hope they don't fuck it up with some gimmick.

Apparently there's some type of easy mode (of course) along with a score attack mode and improved multiplayer. So at least they're adding some bells and whistles.

Ocarina of Time won't have any new content but it'll have a MUCH improved inventory system on the bottom screen. You know how annoying the Water Temple was? More tolerable now thanks to this.

regardless, it's still the same 12-year-old game

i don't see any particular reason to buy it if i already have that master quest wind waker preorder bonus

maybe if i hadn't gotten that bonus, since i never really owned ocarina of time :/
